Lore:
After the battle of Crey and the subsequent banishment of Slithice, Slardar vowed that never again would the Slithereen be dishonored and set out in search of a fabled trident used by the legendary Slithereen warrior Slarazen in his battle against Maelrawn himself.

The legends spoke that Sonorant, in order not to let the mighty weapon fall into the hands of the unworthy, had decreed that it be stored in the dragon gulf shallows. After fighting the dangerous creatures which guard the way to the shallows, Slardar finally reached it only to discover that its waters had over the centuries absorbed the destructive power of the trident and had become corrupted.

Not to be thwarted on the verge of success, Slardar dove in and swam to his goal, unmindful of the searing pain in his body. when at last he escaped the treacherous waters with the trident clutched in his hands he discovered that the shallows had mutated him and that the mutation itself was a blessing in disguise because he was no longer weakened by the sun at the surface and could venture more freely out of the water, Slardar then had the Slithereen craftsmen forge an armor out of the corals that survived in the shallows which further enhanced his new found powers. Sladar now roams the battlefield in search of opponents worthy of being crushed by his fabled weapon.
