WIP Choice Threads
By typoadventure
This guide is a WIP I am creating for myself to make the choices that lead to the best possible end. If it can help you too, then awesome. It's a WIP so any helpful comments will be appreciated. I only update on weekends.

How To Use This Guide
This guide was created to identify the best possible route mathematically regardless of the encounter randomizer. In most of the sections, you can see exactly how each choice will affect your stats. (Or you will, when the guide is finished. Feel free to post anything I've missed, this is a major Work In Progress.)
In the Daily Audience Plotlines section, I have nicknamed each set of related interactions. For example, if you choose to lock up your barber for selling secrets, you can then choose to cut your hair yourself or grow it long - both of those choices will be in the same tree. To find a specific plotline, ctrl+f some of the words. Any questions? Comment them. I only update some weekends, never during the week.

Daily Audience Plotlines (aka the good stuff) Part 1
The Barber Spy
+I feel for him, but I can't bend the law for him. We'll have to lock him up. +20 Loyalty -20 Happiness
+That's not a problem. I can cut it myself.
+I'll just grow it long then. That's in style now, right? + Suspicion
+His reasons were altruistic. Give him a slap on the wrist. -10 Loyalty +15 Happiness
Cat Over-Population
+Sounds like a nice problem. Leave it be; it will sort itself out.
+Isn't Obsidia having a rat problem? Round up the cats and make a gift of them. -10 Army -10 Happiness +15 Obsidia
+I don't have time for this. Kill the kittens. -20 Happiness
Treasury Thief -10 Wealth
+Find out how they got in. I woun't stand for such an egregious lapse in security!
+
+
+You're speaking to the law, Seraph. And the law gives you permission.
+All right, forget it then. Just lock her up for her crimes and let's be done with this affair.
+Contact the captain of the guard, and have him find those gems! Now!
+If it's not many then don't worry about it. We have more important fish to fry. +20 Happiness
Glitter
+Guess who's got a homework assignment, Barry?
+Find Glittericus. He'll know what's the matter. - Army
Phoenix
+Leave it be, and tell the people it is my gift to them. +15 Happiness
+Tell them they may contribute to the royal treasury so it can be taken care of. +Wealth
+Tell them it enjoys seeing them happy and productive. +Happiness
+Capture it and hold a public auction for it. Be sure to invite treasurers from other kingdoms.
+Let the dragons devour it.
Barry's Skin Condition
+I can have one of my envoys pick it up.
+I'm sure this will blow over. -15 Happiness
+Let them protest. This whole thing is ridiculous, and nobody is going to listen.
+Fine, we'll lower the tariff. +Happiness -Wealth
+Have the guards imprison the protestors. -Happiness
+We shall hold a puppy festival on the other side of town. No one will notice the protests! +10 Happiness
+Okay, then we'll lower the tariff. +Happiness -Wealth
+Go and get it yourself. We've got enough potions for now. (Send the envoy anyway)
National Gnupp Team
+Queen Brumhilda has a fierce tempter, but I don't think her anger will last. Let's house them overnight and contact Gnupp to see what to do with them. +10 Wealth +Gnupp
+House them, but demand their scarab racing gear as payment. Let's form an official Al-Marahijan team!
+I'd rather not get on Gnupp's bad side. Turn them away.
Dungeon Slime Mr. Squishy
+Have Barry and his apprentices investigate the creature and see what, if anything, can be done to stop the noises.
+Then prohibit the Gnuppishmen from eating any more of it! Honestly, how can they eat it!? +15 Happiness
+If the Gnuppish are so proud of it they'll probably raise a stink if I prohibit them from having it. -Happiness
+Sorry, Mr. Squishy, but your days are numbered.
Obsidi Cult
+Obsidi, you say? What kind of a god is it?
+Ew. I don't like the sound of that. Let's just get rid of them.
+Well, I'm not an Obsidi, so I'm not into the whole 'ill will' thing. Let them worship their god in peace.
+Well, we can't have that, can we? Root them out for all our sakes.
+Leave them be, but continue to keep a watch on them, will you?
+Al-Marahij allows its citizens the freedom to practice whichever religion they wish. So long as they do no harm, they are well within their rights. + Happiness
+And we'll give it to them of course. Ten percent is a lot of people.
+No. They may practice their religion, but we must maintain Marahijan culture. +20 Loyalty
+It'd probably be best to stop them. Their expansion will breed rumor and paranoia among the kingdom, and we've got troubles enough as it is.
Empty Lot
+Build an amphitheater and hire performers who actually /can/ sing then. +10 Loyalty -20 Wealth
+Build some housing. The people need more places to live. + Happiness - Wealth
+Build nothing. The last thing we need to do is tear down what little green is left in this city.
Stolen/Lost Cat Mittens
+Have the guards search the village.
+Search the surrounding villages! Those mittens must be returned!
+Have the baker imprisoned and interrogated, just to be certain.
+That's fine. Let's not pursue this any further.
+Knit some new mittens, naturally. -Wealth
+Kill the cats. They deserve it. -Happiness
+It's clear that someone needs to knit some new mittens. -Wealth
+Well, if we just kill them, we won't have to worry about it in the future! Kill the cats. -Happiness

+I will allow excavation. We will adjust and get our resources elsewhere. -Wealth -Happiness +Aeroth
+I will not allow excavation. We need to keep our towns running smoothly. -30ish Aeroth
Well Portal
+Yes. Find a way to close it. It sounds dangerous.
+Oooh! Find out where it leads! Find out where it leads!
+More like disgusting. Find a way to close the portal.
+That is so cool! Find out more! Find out more!
+Ancient, mystical ruins means ancient, mystical danger. Close the portal. +10 Happiness
+Well then we should dig a new one, shouldn't we? Give the people water from the palace until it is finished. -15 Wealth
+What's important is that the portal has been closed. We can't afford to build a new well. -Happiness
+Have William show us to the underwater city. We must find its treasures! -Happiness
+You're mysterious and weird, Barry, but we keep you around. Don't worry about it.
Library Fire
+Woah! Put it out! Now!
+Evacuate the surrounding buildings! +5 Happiness
+Get Barry and all his apprentices to extinguish the fire. We cannot let it spread any further!
+Demons!? Have him investigate the fire then, and quickly!
+So Barry was right. Find the fool who tried to summon a demon. Quickly!
+No, no. Just leave him in there and throw away the key. That man is an idiot.
+I have you for that, spymaster. Interrogate the man. Find out why he tried to summon the demon.
+Put him into an asylum then. The nobles should like that. +15 Loyalty
+...Summoning tricks? That actually sounds kind of cool.
+Well, what's done is done. Have Barry put some wards up until the magic dissipates.
+Barry thinks everything is magical in nature. Let's just send our condolences to the families and be done with it. +Happiness
+Take the Royal Guard. They will help you stop the fire.
Daily Audience Plotlines Part 2
Gnupp's Brunhilda wants to win the boat race!
+Tell her to keep letting the Aeroth team win. It will do well for their reputations and diplomatic relations.
+Tell her to pay the best Aeroth racers to pretend to be from her nation, so she'll win for sure.
+Tell her the sign of a good ruler is to accept loss with dignity and not pester other leaders about her personal problems. -50 Gnupp
Bat Infestation Exterminator
+Send the royal guards to rough him up until he agrees. It's not his choice whether he works or not.
+Offer him triple the usual rate. And a voucher for a free week at the spa. -Wealth +Happiness
+Hire a traditional exterminator. How hard can it be to get rid of some bats?
+Cancel the Dragon Dance Parade then. We can always have it later, once this infestation is resolved.
+Seems reasonable enough. Take your sunscreen and be off. There better not be any bats by nightfall. -20 Wealth +20 Happiness
+You probably planted those bats in order to get free sunscreen, you monster! Drakemaster, imprison this charlatan and see how willing Obsidia will be to trade for his hide.
+We will deal with the bats ourselves. You're lucky I don't kill you where you stand, vampire.
Turnip Shortage
+Turnips? I mean okay, but I literally could not care less about that.
+Oh, uh...sure. Find out why...maybe?
Red Well Water
+I'm going to go with my gut instinct and say red water equals bad. Find out who is behind all this.
+Let it be. If Barry says it's fine then I'd rather not spend any extraneous resources dealing with it. -Happiness
Gnuppish Ambassador
+Send A... He's good under pressure.
+Send Hassim. He speaks Gnuppish.
