My first map!

I decided to start with a 1v1 map as it's really simple as far as mapping goes. There aren't really any snow-themed 1v1 maps, so that's what I chose.

"Snowpoint" is a reference to Snowpoint City from Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. In the game, the city has an icy cargo port, so in addition I added the shipping container, and barrels and stuff.

I like to think I have a pretty good understanding of what 1v1 maps are good/bad, and what elements make the quality vary so much. Specifically, maps that have large, open areas, are annoying and get old really fast. In my opinion, the more angles, the better (as long as none of them are gimmicky). And obviously, you shouldn't be able to see the other person from your spawn. Verticality is something that I don't think many 1v1 maps take good advantage of, so I tried to work that in, without making going to the upper levels the only viable strategy.
