This ship is vanilla and survival ready. It does use DLC blocks for aesthetic improvements, but those blocks are entirely or almost entirely not structurally necessary. If you do encounter a major issue, please, let me know so I can resolve it.

Knightmare Industries presents the MCRN Eridania, a new Martian Destroyer design, part of Knightmare Industries' latest generation of ships. The Eridania is designed for speed and firepower, sacrificing durability and maneuverability. It accelerates faster than most other KMI designs thanks to a primarily hydrogen thruster arrangement, and it carries comparable firepower to the larger Arion Class Destroyer. The class is named for the Eridania Quadrangle of Mars.

The Eridania's engines are mostly Hydrogen based, with some Ion Thrusters for backups. To increase endurance, the ship has 9 Hydrogen Tanks with 8 O2/H2 Generators. Power is provided by 2 Large Reactors and a substantial Battery backup system. The ship is equipped with 8 Jump Drives. The Eridania is armed with 16 Gatling Turrets, 16 Missile Turrets, 9 Interior Turrets, and 12 forward facing Rocket Launchers. The hull is mostly light armor, with heavy armor concentrated at the front and around critical areas. The ship is equipped with 1 Assembler, 1 Basic Refinery, a Medical Room and a Survival Kit. There are 5 Connectors with a small hangar for auxiliary craft.

There are several interior compartments, including the Bridge, Main Airlock Room, Medical Room, Galley, Crew Facilities and Quarters, Hangar, Machine Shop and Engineering.

The ship is built fully vanilla and survival ready, with an interior in the style of "The Expanse." I use a light changing script to switch around the interior light settings. Its an older script and I couldn't find the original creator. The script was updated by ColTeH for my use. There are also a few other program and timer blocks if you need them. You may have noticed already, but the ship uses DLC blocks. Credit for the font used in the thumbnail goes to domain101 on reddit, who recreated the font from The Expanse. Link below.

I've been wanting a proper Martian Destroyer design for a while now. Nothing quite fit though, either lacking in looks or being the wrong size. Finally I had some ideas for new engine designs I wanted to try, and it eventually evolved into the Eridania. Somehow that got very efficient. The design is smaller, faster, better armed, has better versatility, better Jump Range, and greater endurance than other destroyer sized designs I've produced. Though to be fair, there isn't much competition, with the Kelpie being the only other recent destroyer design with hybrid engines. Actually, the design is faster than almost every other design I've put out, beating even the Griffin, although it does sacrifice a lot of side thrust to do so. I was very surprised when I took a step back from the nearly finished product and saw what it could do. I learned a fair bit putting it together and applying recent lessons in ship design. There is a lot of interior thrust, and you'll see that if you look in the back. This was also a design I took a bit more time in planning out, albeit just the engines. It turned out quite well for that, making me wonder why I stopped. But I digress. I'm very happy to put this on the workshop, and I hope you all enjoy it.
