Dragon Priest Mask Journal

Beskrivelse
This mod adds a journal called "Dragon Priest Findings and Conjectures" in the hand of the skeleton where the Wooden Mask is found in Labyrinthian. It is a collection of notes written by the dead Breton who was searching for clues regarding the Dragon Priest masks. It provides a little back story and includes descriptions of locations where the Dragon Priest masks are suspected to be.

Since the masks aren't part of any quest, you really have no idea where to start looking for them, once you find one. I never found them all on my first character and I only found them all on my second character by looking them up on uesp.net. This way, you now have a more immersive and lore friendly method of actively seeking out the Dragon Priest masks. Some of the notes may be spoilerish. If they're too spoilerish, let me know and I'll see about revising them.

You should merge this with the quest and map markers. Fantastic mods dude.

Could you possibly make a map version? It would be cool to have a completely unlabled map, with just little x's where the locations of the masks are. It's even more vague and adventure-y.

I have it activated and could not get the journal, either. I used the HELP command and typed in DragonPriestMaskJournal 0 and could not get the code to "additem".

I would really like to read the journal .. Thanks!

Just came across the Wooden mask today, and forgot that I had a mod installed until I came looking through my subscriptions tonight. Your book feels right in with the lore, yet I would agree that it might be a bit spoilerish (or perhaps, to say obvious). Yet, since I've just started continuing on with the MQ and learning about the Dragon Cult, I'm sorry to say I can't suggest how to improve it -- at least not yet.

I like this mod, and I'd like to make a suggestion. Rather than worrying about spoilers and whatnot, why not make two versions of the mod?

One of the mods can give you a book that simply contains the location of each mask, for those who don't care about the story or don't want spoilers.

The other can give you a book that is filled with as much lore as possible (or that you feel like adding) about each Dragon Priest, their maks, and where they are rumoured to be buried.

I love reading the books in Skyrim, so if I'd definitely go for the lore heavy version if you do take my advice.

And lastly, making the journal give you a quest that provides map markers for each mask would be a nice touch, but not at all essential.
