To be fair, this is actually pretty easy to deal with. Jump away from the lizor, the Pole Plant will decide that it will be the better food and sent it to the shadow realm.

when the pole isn't a pole and you're like right next to that one shelter with like 5 lizards on your tail while the rain's getting harder
