The dangers are quite obvious and can be avoided by running away or sneaking. Or running away and then sneaking. You can survive 1-2 hits in most encounters and run faster than everyone else in the game, also simply reload checkpoint if you see that death is imminent.
Two attacks in the game can't be avoided - the bite and the first Troll attack after crane drops its load.

There are plenty of ways, choose your favorite if you need to farm for it. E.g. start chapter 2 and run into swamp.

Unlock all the signs playing manually (except tutorial)
You can autoplay two melodies on the Harp deck. Don't do that, play them manually by touching strings. Except for the first time when game forces you in the Harp room.
You can start from chapter 5 in chapter selection menu and it should unlock after last melody is played at the very end of chapter 8. Playing even one automatically will ruin the progress and you'd need to start from chapter 5 or earlier again.

Max out the gamma slider

Find music box in the Harp house.
Start chapter 5, go downstairs and search the left room.

Drop 20 matches. You must manually drop them, automatically dropped ones don't count.

Get into closed house with Yggdrasil tree on it in the village.
