These are the weapons you need to wrap your decrepit hands around
Get this bad boy and put a sharp gem on it and you will become the ascended one.

Astora Greatsword(with sharp gem)
Black Knight Greatsword
Frayed Blade
Dragon Slayer Greataxe
Greatsword(with heavy gem)

If you aren't wearing these armor sets then get the hell out.

Although these are all great weapons, my favorite weapon in the entire series is the astora greatsword. It has great damage, good reach, wide swings, super light weight, and has a great weapon art similar to gundyr's halberd that is good for PVP. This part is still being made, but later I will have pvp videos for the masses.
