The pain starts here
listen boiz, halo reach on legendary is a pain in the ass if you're not a halo vet so here is my guide

git gud

but for real the missions you have to watch out for is the last one(the last two sections to be precise)
you will need a plasma pistol and a one shot headshot weapon( DMR or magnum).
and that space one that starts out really easy even for legendary but when you get to space prepare the lube cuz they are going in dry if you dont. Just stay behind the space station and for some reason the mission completes itself and all the enemies die. and in the next stage just hug the carrier

also watch out for elites, brutes and hunters as you will have to be hard, fast and smart when dealing with them

Due to how many people have viewed this and have commented on it i have decided to make this a proper guide.
The first section of the guide deals with weapons that you will be forced to use basically the whole campaign(with some exception where the game will give you a sniper)
This section will go over the foes you will face during your time here.
first i will go over the elites as they will be the first group of foes you face(i will not go over minor enemies as they are easy to kill i have stuff to do)
If you have play the campaign on normal or easy take all the elite spawns and level them up(where you would face an ultra and two minors you will now face two ultras and a general)
Facing the elites is much the same as the base game except you have to take more caution when they target you, and the difference between normal and legendary is that their shields will have a lot more health. ok first up.(not in order)

The elite ultras normally spawn with an energy sword and assault rifle, they are aggressive and will charge you if you get close. they have a decent shield level but like all elites they will go down in one headshot after their shields are broken. something to watch out for is how elites go agro when you break their shield(this gives you a chance for an easy headshot)

Ranger elites are much like officers in terms of shield HP but they will have mid to high damage ranged weapons, they dont spawn that often though and only on select missions. due to them using ranged weapons they wont have the chance to melee you when they agro so then are normally an easy kill.

Officers will sometimes spawn where minors used to spawn, they spawn with assault rifles and SMG's, in my experience they never spawn with energy swords, break shield then headshot.

Now to the special ed class of elites, these dudes go invisible as soon as they see on know that you're there. This makes then annoying to say the least, but these dude do have weak shields compared to other elites so when their shield does break shoot their head. At least they only spawn in specific missions so yay.

The elite zealot is that kid in class who thought the school shooter of the previous year was an alright lad, his days of killing cats have become days of terrorising people who want the legendary completion.
These dudes have a lot of shield health, when i say a lot i mean it. you should try heavy weapons or a tank for these dudes as their shield health is extremely high( second only to the field marshal). They can spawn with any weapon really but i have not seen them using ranged ones so take that as you will.

Now onto the school shooter, but instead of him going to prison he was picked up by some blackwater PMC and trained to kill at an unusual rate. dude kills like its a video game, oh wait. these dudes have the latest in shielding tech and wont use the lube when dealing with your heretic ass.

Now lets get onto the brutes.

this the lowest level brute, he will take two headshots to kill, they are the same as normal in the sense except they simply do more damage.

this dude will take three headshots to kill, but this dude will also sometimes spawn with heavy weapons.

The brute chiefton not only takes four headshots to kill but he also has a shield, he will always spawn with heavy weapons or a gravity hammer which will one shot you.

The engineer is the most annoying dude in the game as he shield all the nearby foes, this gives them an overshield even if they already had one, plus they are cute and lovable and i hate killing them

thanks for reading

yeah apparently, i was just dumb and didn't took out the shields the right way (never liked plasma pistols I KNOW, what a mistake, I'm using them now). So many wasted ammo -_-

@ImpRoll, not to be an ass but you're missing then, all elites die in one headshot when their shields are broken. this one shot headshot also depends on what gun you are using, you have to use the magnum or any DMR class weapon

Unless you have a power weapon (not including the shotgun), kill enemies at long range
