Many of you have asked for controller support. While that's not something we have room to work upon just now, you do have an option to play Goat of Duty with a controller. It requires minimal tinkering with the Steam options.


This scheme has been made mainly for accessibility purposes, giving everyone a chance to play and, eventually, for everyone to try their hand with a different input device.
Goat of Duty was very much designed for mouse and keyboard. It's fast and requires precision, and there are no aim assists, autolock or nudges whatsoever. What you get here is a barebone chance to emulate a mouse+keyboard input, that's it.

This guide has been tested only on an Xbox 360 controller. It should work fine with a Steam controller too.

• Open Steam in Big Picture mode (the fullscreen icon on the top right of your client).
  
• Find Goat of Duty in your Library.
  
• Go to Manage Game -> Controller Options. Set Steam Input Per-Game Setting as Forced On.
  
• Go to Controller Configuration -> Browse Configs -> Community and look for the Goat of Duty Gamepad scheme.

  It should bootstrap your client and allow you to apply the control scheme. You may still need to follow point (2) of this guide.

• In menus, you can move your mouse with the right stick and select options with RT or START.
  
• The mouse sentitivity for this scheme is quite high by default: you will probably want to enable Advanced Aim Sensitivity in the game options, and adjust it to something similar to 20 horizontal, 15 vertical.
