"We added a Conduction Panel that exchanges heat with buildings that it overlaps with, offering a new way to cool down space industry buildings—or whatever else you’ve decided to build in the glorious vacuum of your asteroid’s surface."
Currently on the 'Hot shots' update as of writing this. I'll be keeping this one for as long as possible. "Works as intended" is a small part of why.
I've been noticing an unexpected behaviour with this mod: When using aluminium (radiant pipe and TIP) and a Steam Generator, everything is fine and the transfer keeps up. However when I use gold, it doesn't. While this is surprising, gold is not as good as Aluminium as a conductor, so okay, maybe that makes sense.
The unexpected thing is that I can back the steam generator with multiple gold TIP and gold pipes there doesn't seem to be any appreciable change from when using a single one. The liquid (water /salt water/brine) is at a reasonable temperature (1-50c) and the exact temp doesn't seem to make any difference to the amount of heat being moved.
I also had a radbolt generator melt (taking the pipe and TIP with it) and I suspect this is also the reason.
Am I confused as to how this should work?
It's a very useful QoL mod :)
