I am mid campaign on legendary, with every enemy mod I can find along with overwhelming pods and double pod count. Not brave enough to tick iron mad though
It's designed to be a longer game, but the success of every turn of every mission + all random events is determined by the roll of a die that is not in your favor. So the longer the game goes on, the higher chance that your number is up and you can't even salvage the situation.
Flip a coin and have it land on heads 20 times in a row. If you can do it, congrats you beat XCOM2 legendary. For every time you fail, spend two weeks not wasting your time.
(1) Change the description from "Impossible" to "Unfun Tedious Slog" and (2) change the "with no margin for error" to something less insulting and more accurate. Like "success decided by RNG".
Enemy Within was more difficult then Xcom 2
