NOTE: Only Windows 7 tested!!!

In order to change AITD to your native resolution without having to do it through the games menu (which then causes the game to restart with no menu's) follow the following instructions:

Start the game and make changes in the graphics menu then restart the game. It will then restart without menus... This is ok because when you started the game it made a file we need to change. To do this we need to make the file visible by doing the following:

1. Click organise (top left of screen if using windows 7)
2. Folder and Search options
3. Click view tab
4. Select to show hidden files and folders

NOW!:

Find the following file and open with notepad:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Atari\AITD\res.aitd

Change the top 2 resolution settings to your current resolution and save! (make sure you save the document!)

The original res.aitd file would look like this:

ResolutionWidth = 0800
ResolutionHeight = 0600
NewResolution = 0
PrevResolutionWidth = 0800
PrevResolutionHeight = 0600

So now change it to YOUR resolution and save which in my case was as follows:

ResolutionWidth = 1920
ResolutionHeight = 1080
NewResolution = 0
PrevResolutionWidth = 0800
PrevResolutionHeight = 0600


Even jacked up the graphics as far as they could go through the invidia control panel and it looks fantastic... Cant say the same for any other issues that remain unpatched by Atari but this is a great start for us Windows 7 people...

BTW dont tell me you cant find the file cause it is there. If you follow my instructions PROPERLY it is there...©Meshuggered
