I enjoyed this game (well, the first chapter) but disliked these sections of the game where there's a dog patrolling and you're running around room to room trying to find a particular item. They aren't particularly fun so here's some lazy videos on how to do them painlessly.

The dog spawn points reset on game over, so all the videos start from a game over screen so anyone can copy exactly what I did and expect the same result.

You can skip the first fuse and do it last if you don't have enough time to hide from the dog at ~00:57.
At 01:33, I'm waiting for the dog to go right. You can just barely see it turn in at 01:41.

Quickly grab the first gear and hide behind the building. You can see the dog walk by at 00:39 and it'll attack if you're still inside. Follow the dog once it's safe, but not too closely. If you look carefully it runs right to left across the screen at 00:54.
From that point on the rest is easy. You're off the main path for most of the level and out of range from the dog's view.

You don't see it but there's a dog in this section, which sucks because you don't get much time to solve the puzzles. Just rush through the chapter like I do and you won't need to worry.

This is the final chapter, and it's pretty much self-explanatory.
I hide in the hallway at 00:22, wait for the dog to walk past (see it at 00:44), and it won't pose a threat for the rest of the chapter. Don't get too close to the portal while it's still active, otherwise it's an instant game over.
