"It was difficult to work out what to do here because there was only one anchor point to attach the bridge to. I knew it must involve a land brace, but the brace couldn't be positioned absolutely in line with the bank, so when the simulation began, the bridge would drop until the brace hit the river bank and then the bridge would snap. Ultimately, a longer brace that extended below the water line seemed to reduce this jolting effect."
