Setup based after aproximatly 20 hours of gameplay and you can win all game with this loadout.

Warband setup

Wodl Elf - range attacks
Empire Captain - deflection and melee attacks
Dark Elf - range attacks
Wardancer - multiple melee attacks

Use Empire Captain to open doors, than use ranged attacks against all ranged or more dangerous enemies. Than use leap of Wardancer and clear the rest in the room.
Wood Elf

Loadout:
Medallion of Morr – all attacks hit
Acorn of the ages – restores AP 3x
Short sword – attack cost 2 AP
Cloak of the Hunt – SPD used for attack
Talon of Dawn – ignores armour and sets fire to target, 4AP to use (or you can you Asrai Longbow - can kill all enemies in 3x3 area -definetly better option I am using later on)
Empire captain


Loadout:
Potion of health
Hate mail – armour 20% of double damage
Fire bomb - (ar I replaced later with Thundering Shout)
Focus +10% hit chance, +1STR after hit
Ring of Speed +3SPD and 10% chance to get 1AP
Griffon shield +40% deflection
Mace - attack cost 2 AP

Dark Elf

Loadout:
Amulet of regeneration – restore full health 2x (to restore lost health due robes and egg)
Sacrificial robes - each turn +1STR, -1 health
Potion of health
Black dragon egg +6 STR, +5 DEX and SPD, 10% chance loosing 90% of health
Staff of decimation +50% critical and 12 range
Wardancer

Loadout:
Amulet of sea gold – restores AP 2x
King of the woods – tattoo +1AP and +1STR when new room opens
Twin blades - attack cost 2 AP
Monster Hunter – double damage to large enemies. Trolls, Minotaurs
Ring of Speed +3SPD and 10% chance to get 1AP
Dance: Storm of blades – attack cost -1AP when new room opens for 2 turns
Leap – can leap up to 8 tiles
Second warband

Witch Hunter - range attacks
High Elf Mage - range attacks and melee
Greatsword- multiple melee atacks based on speed
Bretonnian Knight- melee atatck, range deflection, healer
Witch Hunter

Duellling Pistols, Explosive pistols for area damage
High Elf Mage

Staff of light - for ranged attacks
Soul Quench and Fiery convocation spells for range attacks
Blade of leaping gold - ignores all armor resistances
Shadowrobes - use INT instead STR
Greatsword

Helborgs greatsword - use SPD instead of STR in attacks
Maximalize speed - you gain multiple strong attacks due to deathblows
Sigil of speed +4 SPD
Ring of speed + 3SPD
Count champion +1 AP on kill
Bretonnian Knight

Runefang sword - ignores all armor resistances
Riposte - makes counterattack
The Grail shield - range deflection so you can get closer to shooters
Bleesing of the lady - healing 10AP over 3x3 area
Weapon master - 1AP on weapon use
Potion of curing
Amulet of sea gold
Medallion of Morr

Spawnling - nice idea with the Double Leap. Not sure why, but that never occurred to me.
I've set up nearly all my characters to use multiples of particularly effective abilities and powers.
But never thought of that one.

Most important thing to realize is that most things do stack. Weapon Master for example...
I've bought it every time I've found it in a market...so I think I have 5 now. High level characters with lots of inventory slots and 6-8 action points are DEVASTATING when you equip them with some very powerful weapon that normally has an action point cost of, lets say 4, and they're now swinging it for 1 action point, and attacking multiple times with it per turn.

Nice setup, but for the Wardancer I prefer something like this:

The Spirit Sword - Ignores all armor resistances,
Token of the Hunter King - Sets Strength to Speed
Double Leap let's you jump in and out for a total of 2 AP
Weapon Master reduces attack to 1 AP
