Описание
Depicted here is a stylised composition of the marbled polecat. I took cue from the Glock weasel and decided to build on that idea to a bigger weapon.

When designing finishes there are two view angles that are important: ingame POV and the player facing side view; It’s an easy task to design something that looks great from one angle, but much more difficult to make something that looks good from both angles.

The Galil is an extra challenge as it has raised components on the sides making anything projected onto it heavily distorted, there is no silver bullet to this problem. I took it on board and attempted to position details so that although there is some distortion you can still identify what is illustrated.

I get tickled by goofy animal faces on weapons facing you, this is what makes the llama cannon great. So although the sides are distorted in POV view, you still get a clear element of interest looking right at you, judging you -- for force buying a terrible weapon.

I called it the ‘Polka Polka Polecat’ as a pun, the marbled polecats fur pattern is a bit dotty; originally the weapon background pattern was to be polka dot but it looked too simple, so through trial and error I settled on an abstract engraved leave pattern instead, in turn I added a polka dot grip pattern to the foregrip, but then weakened the premise by adding smaller dots as I thought it looked more realistic. I think it works better this way.
