1) basic settings
For basic (arcade) setup follow the image below

I had big problems when I started the game for the first time to keep the car even on the straight road, my suggestion is that is has to do smthg with STABILITY HELP

As a proof here is the discussion about DEAD ZONE https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/355060/discussions/0/412447524176589179/

So maybe the settings was not right or they patch it , I dont know
2) how to play different styles
1) for rally use this view (note that I use 3D pace notes and I also use xbox controller)

it is much easier than "car" view, if you like (as me) you can watch the car in replay (this or cocpit view is recommended by developers) . But It seems you can choose whatever view you like. From the start I had problems with keeping car steady so although I rather race with full view car for this game I am used to "road" view. (problems wich are now gone are mentioned in 1) of guide.

Also you dont have to have always green guided track, I mainly break on orange , even yellow I usually race in full speed or just release throttle.

2) for rally cross (I add image later) use the full car view, it is true that cars often crash into you, but you can rewind and crash into them.
3) notes about 70´cars
I use this cars a lot (unfotunetly there are only four of them).

1) for rally with a lot of turns I use Mini Cooper S or Abarth A112, I was able to win races in debut and also junior career. Also these cars arent very fast so even if the guiding track turns to red you dont have to break (doesnt aplly to 90 degrees turns and "minus" turns)

2) however best car is propably Lancia Fulvia (I use it mainly for rally cross)

3) BMW 2002 Ti is fast and very light car, so it is hard to keep the car on the track (maybe someone can suggest some PRO settings)
4) making money
Just a short review from races I done so far.

1) In junior rally (full championship) I got only 160 000 for 40 mins of game

2) I was surprised that rally cross (new era - rally cross world tours) give you 300 000, for winning just 3 races (but you have to have dlc , so you have the cars that can race on that track or if you have already enough credits you can buy one)
5) Iconic cars
Renault Alpine A110 1600

This car is hard to handle, I dont know if over time I am used to it or settings below really help.

1) Start first rally - go to settings - advanced - rear spoiler - max to high, save these settings!!

2) Use these settings for every rally except Monte Carlo and Sanremo. Bcs by default AI automaticly adjust your settings to default for that track, you have to go everytime to car settings and load the setting you previously save from the first rally.

3) For Monte Carlo I used default car settings

4) For San Remo I also changed rear spoiler to max and gear ration to 3 bars (gear settings). This track was the hardest, you really have to drive like mad, break and full throttle!! (and over and over again :-) )

GOOD LUCK!!!
6) Junior - Class 4
There also "only" four cars in this section.

I win everything with Peugeot 504 Coupe, except for Pike Peaks, where I use Lancia Stratos
7) Junior Perfect Trajectory Franciacorta in Class 2WD PRO category
1) I think for junior this track is hard , i spend at least one hour chasing for gold (silver is easy)
2) Finally I made it with the slowest car in class wich is SAXO KIT CAR '98

Here is the video (sorry for quality, I am not a streamer and even on hight quality the video looks bad , I use nvidia experience)

8) Vintage - Class B
1) Los Mexicanos - Rally Drift - bcs I found Lancia Delta S4 the most unstable, so easy to drift I win this event with this car.

For newcomers to drifting as me the trick is break and full throttle.

Also you could do it in time, but what I found strange in this event , that it not shows how much track is for you to complete (so you dont know if to speed up or not). Only thing you see is time running out.

Video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/504142711 (I switch to twitch and OBS bcs quality of nvidia experince is terrible)

2) San Luis - Perfect trajectory - most suitable car is Renault 5 Maxi Turbo (Event car, win in Loeb events, but you can buy similiar car)

Video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/504142710

If I understand twitch right "highlights" (scenes) should be store forever, I hope so....

3) Last Race - Rally - If they want to play dirty I also play dirty , win with Peugeot 205 T16

9) Open - VS
1) DEFAULT GUIDE FOR ALL VS RACES

For all cars (really)

Transmission - Gear Ratio - 2 bars
Advanced Settings - Rear Spoiler - 2 bars

If default settings for gear or spoiler are lower (for ex Sweden has spoiler one bar) leave it as it is.

Dont expect any clean pass, the roads are mostly narrow and with a lot of turns, so the strategy for most tracks is just to bump into opponent at sharp turn (dont feel bad about it , AI will do the same to you :-) )

Example of really dirt pass: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/519110801

I think there are about 3 asphalt tracks, wich are short and with a few turns, If I knew it before III propably changed the gear ratio to 4 bars and win the race easier.

This VS category is mostly for fun and freaks like me who wants all gold medals, bcs you only get 30 000 credits and 5600 reputation for one race (and most of them you dont win for the first time).

2) Le Moulinon - Antraques - 131 Abarth Rally

So you think you can beat famous Lancia Stratos with 131 Abarth, without goint to car settings? Think again :-)

My first thought was, ok I just copy Stratos car settings to Abarth. It turns out that for this track both cars has the same default setting.

Ok, so I have to figure it out by myself. I knew from previous race that Stratos have great acceleration. So I focus in settings only for parts that can make Abarth accelerate faster.

Here is the simple result:

- Gear Ratio - 2 bars
- Rear Spoiler - 6 bars

I think you can experiment with these settings + - one bar, if you dont find this accurate.

Ok so I can keep up with Stratos , the hardest part was how to get ahead of Stratos, I admit when I have a chance I just crash the famous Stratos in 2 turn. Then it was piece of cake.

10) Vintage - Class 4 - Torstby - Rally Drift
For this gold medal wich is worth only 24 000 Cr I have to spend 3 hours.

First i try Stratos with various setting , finally I get gold with 131 Abarth.

The problem of this track is not the points, its really hard to make the whole track in time, If you make in time you will have enought points for gold , dont worry.

The only thing I changed in Abarth settings was Gear Ratio - 0 bars.

I know it is snow track by try not to break to much, as you can see I have only 6 sec left in the end.

11) Loeb Experience
So far LE was easy but now........

1) In history - 25 seconds

Unfortunetly there is no exact guide how to make this event, here are some tips

- I use hood view (but on you tube I saw guy with full car view, but It can be replay)
- Break only on red
- At 6 and 5 turns even if turns red dont break just release the throttle
- I know its hard, but try to memorize the track, anyway you will not be propably able to make it for first time, so it comes along the way

Video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/505067208

2) In history - 100 mph

So first dont get confused as I get that this has to be an average speed, you can reach just ONCE, along the race and its done.

Also as a European I have settings to km/h (kph) so I change it for this race to mph (miles per hour).

I also just for this race turn off Braking help.

And voila!! After few turns you can do it on almost straigth road, If you can do it withou crash, you are the perfect man :-). I crashed into the trees. Immedietly after reaching 100 mph I start breaking both (break plus handbreak) , so I dont get wrecked to much and can finish the race.

12) Open - Rallies Around The World - WARNING BUG in FINLAND !!! READ FIRST
1) Monte Carlo - A110 1600

With A110 I had the same problem as I race it in ICONIC. So after 2nd stage I change default setings

- gear ratio - two bars left
- rear spoiler - two bars right

The same as before I dont know If I get used to car or if this settings really help. Prepare to a little bit drifting all the time.

2) Finland - Polo R Rally Car WARNING BUG !!! READ FIRST

So we are playing on easy so this should be easy, right? It is if you know the trick.

There is a bug at the end of the stage 5, if you cross finish line at full speed , at stage 6 you will start with wrecked car , unable to finish the rally.

It is not my idea how to avoid this bug

Originally posted by tozziFan:
in Finland I attributed that "issue" because I suspected that at the end of stage 5, after a long straight with a left corner just after the finish line, the program might have calculated the damage after the finish line (just like you were gone offroad at 180km/h) .............just my guess, I'm replaying Finland-Polo now

tozziFan is right, so I finally (after third try) I was able to finish the rally.

13) New Era - Modern 4WD
1) Franciacorta - Perfect Trajectory

Its not so hard , maybe III stop adding this Trajectory events. From previous sectinos you know if you want to accelerate quick you have to SHORT the gear ratio.

I use Lancer Evolution X and move gear ration to zero, on 4th try I made it.

Video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/507495510

2) Sweet Lamb - Rally Drift

Again not so hard, but I add it anyway. I use Peugeot Event Car

- gear ratio 2 bars
- rear spoiler 0 bars

As you can see I drive terrible, so you definitly can get better results

14) Master - Class R5
1) Loheac (Perfect trajectory)

Again, my "favourite" event. Car - Peugeot 208 R5

Car Settings:

- gear ratio - 0 bar
- rear spoiler - 1 bar

video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/512245982
15) Extreme - Class B
1) Trois-Rivieres - Gateway

Car: Peugeot 205 T16

Settings:

Gear Ratio - 3 bars
Rear Spoiler - 0 bars

Video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/515161684

You can propably use any car, when I tried another cars I have Gear Ratio on zero, that was a mistake.
16) Open - Over 400cc
In this races you have 2 to 3 categories of cars to choose. If you have all DLCs, you have more Class Hillclimb cars and also Class S. If you dont own any DLC you are limited only to Class B and lesser Hillclimb Cars.

The key to success in these races is to choose the right car (or at least class), for example for Wales - Harfen 2 - Pikes Peak Cars are simply to fast and there are a lot of turns, so its hard to keep PP car in the line.

This is only recommendation, you can, of course, experiment as you like.

I will not add a videos for these races, I dont find it necessary. So here is the list of recommended cars:

1) Franciacorta - Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak (Class Hillclibmb) (DLC) - alternative Suzuki Pikes Peak SX4
2) Wales - Hafren 2 - Lancia Delta S4 (Class B)
3) Findland - Myhinpaa 2 - Audi Sport Quattro Rally (Class B)
4) Wales - Rally Drift - Peugeot 205 T16 Pikes Peak (Class Hillclimb) - 14 000 points without any struggle
5) Rally Championship - Audi Sport Quattro Rally (Class B)
6) PPIHC - Pikes Peak Complete - Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak (Class Hillclibmb) (DLC) - alternative Suzuki Pikes Peak SX4
7) Rally San Luis - Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak (Class Hillclibmb) (DLC) - alternative Suzuki Pikes Peak SX4

I dont find any use for class S for ex in race 3) Lancia ECV was too slow.
17) This is the End
So if you have followed my instructions, you end up with score like this (all gold)
