Welcome to another useless mod made by myself, what if you wanted to play S A M U R A I S P I R I T S R E I S P E C I A L with the original japanese rom but you dont understand the glorious nippon language in the menus? I got a solution for us ten weeabos (and a few that are really trying to learn japanese but its still struggling with kanjis I guess?) right here, keep reading so you can download and see the G L O R I O U S K A N J I S on screen when you get a K A N Z E N S H O R I because you hold that D button with Shizumaru for half an hour before starting the match.

01 - Open Steam
02 - Go to your library, find "SAMURAI SHODOWN V SPECIAL / サムライスピリッツ零スペシャル"
03 - Right click on the banner or in the game list, click "Properties".
04 - "LOCAL FILES" tab and then "BROWSE LOCAL FILES..."
05 - You can see 4 files and 1 folder, click on the "Data" folder
06 - Just in case right click on "string.txt", copy, right click again, paste, so you have a copy of that file
07 - Open "string.txt" in notepad, delete E V E R Y T H I N G in that .txt
08 - Go to https://pastebin.com/UpvzrY9M, copy and paste E V E R Y T H I N G from that pastebin to "string.txt", save it.
09 - Start the game, go to OPTIONS>SYSTEM OPTIONS, you can see now that there are two "English" languages, one is the original english with the menus and game in english (ENGLISH(USA)), (ENGLISH(JPN)) is the one you are looking for (english menu, japanese rom), pick that and see if it work.
10 - If it didnt work scream at me in the comments so I can upload the string.txt itself than be that lazy, if not, congratulations, now go play the game.

01 - Skill list are still in japanese, you "can" change it to show in english going to "Data\movelist" and renaming "movelist_ja.txt" to "movelist_old.txt" and copying "movelist_en.txt" and renaming it "movelist_ja.txt" but you are better visiting http://wiki.mizuumi.net/w/Samurai_Shodown_V_Special and learning from here
02 - Also the "Help" list on Skill list is broken but again...visit mizuumi

I did in a rush because I just wanted to have english network menus but still keeping the japanese rom, hope I can help the few who wanted that too but couldnt do that or dont have time to open Notepad++ and do it all by hand.

MAYBE I am going to mess with the menu music and make a pack with old S A M U R A I S P I R I T S themes so the few minutes you stay in the menu can have some song variety than... just the game ost lol.
