Importing an Avatar
Avatars should be in .vrm format and should be saved in the following location:
\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\wakaru\Models\VRM

*location of your SteamLibray folder may vary.

Camera Optimisation
You can significantly improve the facial tracking accuracy by adjusting your webcam.
1. Set to grayscale.
2. Adjust brightness and contrast.
The accuracy of facial tracking is dependent on the user's environment
1. Don't wear glasses or other items covering the face.
2. Ensure your room is well lit.

*information previously provided by the developer.
Setting up your stream
Switch the "Use Sky Background" to "Off" this will switch the background to a green screen.

This menu bar can be hidden by pressing the "Escape" button.

Add a window/game capture to your streaming software of choice and apply a chroma filter to remove the green background.
Other hints and tips
Eye movements can be toggled "Sync Irises" (follows your eyes using your camera) or "Eyes Always Track Camera" (your avatar will always be looking into the camera lens regardless of the orientation of your face.)

"Auto Blink" can be toggled on or off (depending on how good your eye tracking is you could end up staring out your audience.)

Lip movement can be controlled be either your web cam or by your microphone.

Hand can be tracked by selecting a colour for you left and right hand, it is recommended that you wear 2 different brightly coloured gloves for optimal tracking. (i.e. one yellow, one blue)

what you do is press alt and grab the side of what ever side the settings on and you will see a red box move that red box to crop it

@LevanMarie I think if you press "esc"/escape key, it should hide the menus (not sure if that's what your referring to or not), also apparently other menus can be found (happen upon some while looking in the hotkey section when trying to figure out why avatar the avatar won't move even though it registers movements and I click the red "sync" button). Hope that helps you. :)

For me the avatar movement is incredibly laggy, the tracking on the camera looks smooth and responsive but the avatar moves like once per second

I'm hoping future updates will allow us saving our settings so it's already set up everytime we open the application. Atm, Wakaru is the only decent VR app that uses .vrm. Surprisedd Facerig still uses outdated file format.
