Johnny (Guilty Gear Petite)

Descripción
The captain of the Jellyfish Pirates, Johnny, is here to fight for the less fortunate. For some reason the less fortunate seems to exclusively be young women. Go figure.

I didn't realize that the page would revert when updating, I'll try to reconstruct it from memory.

Features:
A limited resource: Coin which can be utilized to strengthen Strong attacks and can be restored by landing a side special!
A powerful strong attack that grows in power, knockback, and range based on coin level!
An effective ground game!
A bad air game with limited vertical recovery!
7 Palettes in roughly the same order as the default game!
A few custom sounds!

Moveset:

Neutral Special: Glitter is Gold- Johnny tosses a low damage coin in an arc. it can be used to extend combos and, most importantly, make his strong attacks stronger. But look out, there is a limited supply.

Side Special: Treasure Hunt- Johnny charges forward after a small buildup. It knocks the enemy backward and restores 2 coins.

Up Special: Zweihander- Johnny flys forward in an upward arc. pressing the special button again fires off a deadly bolt and kills Johnny's momentum.

Down Special: That's My Name- A grab that deals fair damage and bounces the enemy upwards, setting up for combos.

Strongs: Mist Finer- The strongest move in Johnny's arsenal,they have significant knockback and damage, and gain effectiveness after hitting up to 2 glitter is golds.

I'm glad to hear you liked it.

To my knowledge, online matches are very finicky with workshop characters and I have no idea what makes one character work well with it and another not. Generally the best option when playing online with workshop characters is to trick the game into thinking its local with remote play together or parsec.

I have no idea what could be causing a palette to crash the game. I've tried a little to replicate it and couldn't make anything happen. I'll look into the color code top see if I messed anything up there.

Hey, Just wanted to say I really enjoy the character. However me and my friend are running into an issue where we can't use him in a friendly match online but local works just fine. Also trying to switch colors after purple is crashing the game.

Good stuff, glad you're using the Petite sprites. I just can't get myself to use workshop characters that don't use 8-bit-ish sprites like Rivals does, they look too out of place. I was actually gonna try and do Faust using Petite sprites but gave up lol

@Beardedyeti13 I wouldn't mind eventually doing more guilty gear characters, but I would prefer to use sprites from guilty gear petite to more closely match the style of rivals which really limits my options (for example neither Zappa nor Baiken are playable in it). Maybe I could do some of those characters if I could find some Advance or Dust strikers rips, but they would look more like their traditional sprites, and that would likely hurt their range.

In any case I've been thinking about a simpler character next. I've been leaning toward either king piccolo or rugal from KoF but I haven't really made up my mind.

this is wicked, do you think you could do this for other guilty gear and arc system works charachters? a voting poll would be awesome and a reskin and size mod of the sol badguy somone already made matching your picel style, my vote would go for baiken and zapa next, maybe zato there are so many great charachters
