This is a short guide on how to beat Watrez when doing his bounty board mission. You might not know how to find him, or how to target his ship, or how to kill it before he escapes. I hope to help with that.

After getting his mission, you need to find where he is. There's an informer in pirate stations. He tells you where people are. However I found that the bartender, or citizen behind the bar, in the bar in pirate stations will sell you the information too. This will tell you the system he's in.

Once you arrive at the system, open the system map. On the bottom right there's a scanner. Move the slider to the top and click scan. This will scan the system for anomalies and will show you his location.

When you reach him he'll send some fighters after you. He'll also keep spawning more if you don't take out his communication device.

This brings us to how to target his ship. When you fly close to his ship, there will appear circular icons. The icons you can target. Blasting them will destroy his weapons or his systems depending on what you target. There are 2 you need to target right away. On the back of his ship there is an engine module. Fly up to the back of his ship and you'll see the icon. Once it's targeted you can increase your distance so he doesn't blast you and just keep shooting it until it explodes. This will keep him from escaping.

Next there is a communication device on the top front of his ship. The icon is between and behind the top front 2 turrets. Destroy this and he can't summon more fighters.

At this point just pick him apart, but he can still blast you with his turrets. Unless you destroy them. When fighting ships like this I like to destroy all the modules, but that probably isn't necessary. You just need to blast it until it dies.

Once he dies the quest will instantly finish and you get the reward right there.

Edit: You might want to destroy his repair module. It has a icon with a wrench on it I believe.
