Preparing for large Pop
So, the best way to survive late game without going through constant famine, you want to prepare as soon as you can, you want to start by building the basic buildings like a fisher and scavenger, these 2 buildings will last your city for a while, but don't rely on the fisher for permanent food, if you do your somewhat setting yourself up for failure
And now, you finally got the bread city!
Now that you have got a somewhat functioning city, and a medium pop, you will want to try get as much plastic, metal and wood as soon as you can, this will allow you to build a greenhouse, and then after you make the greenhouse, you want to try get your mill functioning and bakery up, this will get you a lot of food when you get into the "end-game" once you get the first greenhouse, mill & bakery running, you might want to build 2 of each building to up your production to prevent the chance of you running into a famine.

While I agree bread is not a bad suppliment, tbh, fisherys are kinda broken if you do good placement, like theres a tiny area that kills efficency, but if you use walkways and very compact system where they are as close as efficency will allow around 90%, you will not run out of food, it skips many steps and does not depend upon chance.

I do not use ONLY FISH, I use fish as a food baseload, it deals with majority of the hunger, but then I top it off with what every else I find like crab meat or bread. Fisheries are also not flammable, dont ignite, and have a 100% of making food and also I dont have to debet between food and beer. I go until I have surplus wheat, then I when I feel comfy I start makin bread

Greenhouses seem not worth it, to be honest. I've got 12, running 24/7, supplied by deep divers, and they STILL starve. I've got a pop of 278 and with 12 greenhouses, 20 or so fishers and a few foragers I'm still low on food all of the time.

Pretty unbalanced, honestly.

One thing I noticed in my play throughS, is that kelp is surprising good food wise, it produced quick, it produces vitally needed junk in the process of making and requires no logistics train That might break down to produce, in a famine kelp will save your rear. Not a good player, but has anyone else noticed the usefulness of kelp. That said one needs a lot of it because pop eats it quick even if they make it faster.
