Intro
Hello,

To those stumbling on this guide, I would probably guess that your game needs an fps boost. Due to unforeseen circumstances, your laptop or desktop graphics cards are pretty garbage right now to play the game.

But despite this, you are still willing to turn your game into a hot mess by playing with some settings, and I am here to provide you with ample information to turn your 24fps into a 60fps game

WARNING :
This does involve turning your game graphics into the absolute worst.
(There are other games that can do this with a more horrible effect to graphics quality. But if there's a will, there's a way.)

Also, I do not know if this is legal to use due to having PvP elements in the game, so if I get asked to remove this, I will not hesitate.

Without further ado, let's get to work.

Step 1: Get Nvidia Inspector
NVIDIA Inspector is a handy application that reads out driver and hardware information for GeForce graphics cards. The tool is basically an nVIDIA only OverClocking application, you can set your clocks and fan speeds.

It basically goes in depth with your graphics settings, giving you more options to turn off uneeded graphics

download here : https://nvidia-inspector.en.lo4d.com/

So to those with different graphics drivers, I would like to apologize that I cannot help you beyond this point.

Godspeed
Step 2: Finding the Destiny 2 Profile
Pretty self-explanatory,

- Head over to profiles and type out "destiny 2" it should pop out in the dropbox

Step 3: Editing Values

Now that you've got your profile, you'll probably be overwhelmed with the amount of options that you can edit.

But don't be fooled, some edits can probably ruin the compatibility of your game, causing it to not run at all (Thankfully, there is an option to reset your edits with a click of an icon, but I ain't here to tell you that.)

So now, with the edits: (Some values you should probably ctrl + c)

I'll put them in most important > optional

Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling : AA_MODE_REPLAY_MODE_ALL

Texture Filtering - LOD Bias (DX) : 0x00000020 [The more this value is increased, the more garbage your game would be]

Texture Filtering - Driver Controlled LOD Bias : On [LOD Bias won't work without this on]

Texture Filtering - Quality : High Performance

Multi-display/Mixed-GPU acceleration : Single Display Performance Mode

Power manage mode : Prefer Maximum Performance

Texture Filtering - Anisotropic Filter Optimization : On

Texture Filtering - Anisotropic Sample Optimization : On

Threaded Optimization : On

Anisotropic Filtering Setting : Off [Point]

Results
Damn it looks like ass.

1st Image: No Nvidia Inspector edit, Settings all LOW, Resolution 1366 x 768
2nd Image : Nvidia Inspector edit (LOD Bias: 0x00000020), Settings all LOW, Resolution 1366 x 768

Final Thoughts and Other Guides [WIP]
I'll edit this later, I want to play more destiny 2

Thanks

Thanks again

You can probably increase the LOD bias to make it even worse. Other than that idk much else.

Use Nvidia Inspector Fork [github.com] ver; It has more configs for profiles...

Also changing the Texture flitering - LOD Bias setting will affect the sharp&smooth looks of the game. I recommend leaving that alone if you don't want your game to look garbage.
I currently have mines set to -3.0000 for extra sharpness, but it doesn't make a performance difference.

For some specs you can be just fine with Anisotropic Filtering mode set to 16x. It shouldn't impact performance , but I recommend leaving that at Application controlled.

Make sure to put your Prefered Refreshrate to Highest available.

Set Vertical Sync to Fast Sync.

Set Nvidia Predefined Ansel Usage to ANSEL_ALLOW_DISALLOWED

Optional Settings:
Triple buffering - On
Vertical Sync Tear Control - Adaptive
Toggle FXAA on or off - Off

@.Inceneration!
inspector isn't as limited for configs as the control panel
fps limiter exists
and vsync is only ever useful against screen tearing

the fuck you on about

First mistake was mentioning Nvidia inspector. Instead of going directly to the 3D settings within the nvidia Control panel which is fare easier to figure out and fare better cause it wont break anything.
Second mistake was showing the Fps at the top left. Eventho you did all the changes it didnt change what so ever meaning it was completly pointless to do all of these changes since it didnt work.
Third of all. It has to be a troll guide cause none of these values you entered would change the Fps drops in the game since you arent mentioning Vsync at all xD Either you have no idea what you are doing and are just doing this guide to troll people, or you do know what you are doing but still made this guide just to troll people. Either way its pathethic and people shouldnt follow this guide even if they own a toaster as a pc.
