I'm gonna explain how to get a better start, just to help you getting better and better.

Find out where is your games!
(Normally is something like this in your disk: "SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common")

Second Step

After you find where the game is click "The Guild II" and you will see a lot of files, go down and you gonna see something called "config" click it!

Last Step

After you open you will see something like that:

And scroll down but take your time! Stop when you see this:

You see where is Money in [INIT-PLAYER-0]? Change the value to 10000000 or just 50000, it's just what do you want!

WARNING: You need to restart the game if you are playing and make this changes!

Thanks. I didn't change my money, but your breadcrumb-trail in the first step helped me find the GuildII.exe application-file so I could change it's compatibility-mode to WinXP SP3 (I'm on W7 64bit) - Don't change up your money, people; build your first workshop and manufacture some goods, then head to the market square to sell them and buy more ingredients.

Tried it, Via Lan you have to manipulate the lines for players 1 - 6 otherwise, No.

@ice and fire, this game doesn't have multiplayer at least not in steam but i'm pretty sure that doesn't work on multiplayer.
