Cathedral Map and Pathing

As the title says, here's a map and path of the most confusing area in the game with mistles, vestiges, keys, and shortcuts.

Map

The legend on the top left tells all that is needed to be told for the colors. I tried to make it so that the path always returns to the base after a change in elevation. If any paths cross the base is the first time through while other colors are in relation to the base. All of the side items and misc things I ignored since, well, the point of this map is to get to the end for either story path you want.

I forgot about green while putting together the map legend. That's a Regen Activation Factor.

If you think about it lore wise, the Cathedral is supposed to dissuade invaders from reaching the center and messing with the successors. So the chaotic level design has some point to it.

The level isn't TOO bad, apart from that stupid bit right after the 2nd Mistle where you have to drop off the side onto a narrow ledge on the side of the tower. That bit alone makes it one of the worst-designed levels I've ever seen, because it's SO easy to overlook (literally your only hint is a tiny curved bit visible around the tower on the map) that you can spend HOURS running around in circles looking for it.

is this really the most confusing area? thats too bad. I found it to be incredibly linear. they cant all be dark souls though
