Colonizable Jovians

Omschrijving
Have you ever wanted to have a planet like Bespin[starwars.fandom.com] in Stellaris? Well, now you can!

This mod adds a handful of colonizable gas giants to the galaxy. These planets are capable of supporting floating cities in their atmospheres, and are rich in energy and exotic gasses. They don't offer much in the way of minerals or food, for obvious reasons, but some planets will have modifiers that amend that.

There is also a new origin, "Jovian Civilization", which allows you to start on such a planet while retaining your original habitability trait.

This mod is a must have if you want to play as Jovian evolved species on Stellaris and this should have been in he Vanilla version (with a modest number of species to go with it)

Just tested in 4.0 and my game crashed. Got to play a game with it last year though! Was nice, felt like colonizable jovians were a bit high as a portion of available worlds, but maybe having my habitable worlds set at 125% then warped my perception if it meant 1.25x as many jovians too. (I've since turned it down, as it feels like habitable worlds are a bit easier to get in 3.1X than they used to be.)

Is this compatible with Gigastructural Engineering and More's habitable gas giants? That mod is a mainstay for me and I want to use it but I also want to try this mod.

@mzilli Thanks for the reply. I think your work on Distant Origin and this mod is really incredible so I'm sad to see you go but at least you've left behind plenty of mods for me to try, I hope I can get to them before they get updated out. Take care and be well!

@Pospesel I don't plan to develop this mod further, to be honest; if someone else wants to take ownership and expand it to their own whims, they are welcome to as long as they let me know first. As for Distant Origin, there is some mod compatibility built in but as I'm not super familiar with Gigastructural Engineering I'm hesitant to make promises in that regard. I'll look into it.
