"lol I play the game as I want!"

If your kink is to cosplay as a mop, good for you.
Losing isn't fun though.
Redpills are hard to swallow, if you want to complain, take a ticket and join the queue.
Armor
One of the most important factor for Inferno is your armor. Don't even think about joining in Inferno if you don't have at least:

- Ranger: 4-5k HP
- Wing Diver : 2.5-3k HP
- Air raider: 4k HP
- Fencer: 6-8k HP

No, you can't dodge everything. Yes, you have to be able to withstand hits so that you aren't a dead weight.
"I got armor, I farmed for it!"
Good grief, did you spend hours doing the same mission to increase your armor WHILE increasing the completion rate by doing hard/hardest gives you PLENTY of armor? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Farming doesn't give you skill. Farming is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded idea. If you think having armor is enough to have a good grasp of class synergy, threats, and how to handle them, then you just should just ask for a brain surgeon to remove the stupid parts of your brain.
Completion rate
Don't even think about trying Inferno before finishing hard and having a good grasp of hardest. By that time, you should be around the 40% mark.

I see too many people joining my Inferno lobbies with sub 20 completion rate. They didn't even finish hard, didn't try hardest, yet they think they're up to the task for inferno.
Weapons
By doing hardest/inferno (low missions), you'll get good weapons. After all, weapons drop for the current difficulty.

DLC 2 weapons sure are nice, but they don't compensate for your lack of skill and armor. If you think bringing phobos as an Air raider is a good idea, even against flying stuff, then you really need to go back to hard and learn more about the game.

Besides, if you have low armor and got DLC 2 weapons, it means you've either leeched someone, or farmed. So go back to hard.
"I can join inferno, I farmed DLC2 weapons!"
No.

Not only you farmed weapons you can't use without someone having 70+% completion rate (did you really think it was a good idea?), but weapons are tools. If you don't have the skill, they're useless.
A non exhaustive list of good weapons
Don't want to think? Me neither.

Ranger: AR/Shotgun (for gold/silver), Reverse bomber, Missile launcher for flying stuff. Highest armor that allows you to walk/run fast. Forget about the bike.

Wing Diver: Phalanx (of balance), Lance, Electric bow for flying stuff, Ghost chaser/Anti air ball works too. Highest core you got.

Air raider: Lapis/Minigun/Shotgun from space for personal defence, ZE Blaster, KM6 for flying stuff, Spritefall shooting mode B for flying stuff, Spritefall for all purpose, Phobos for trash mobs but only if you aren't a moron and can use it without aggroing the whole map. Any nix, red armor's the faster boi.

Fencer: Double lance + Shotgun, Jackhammer + Dispersal mortar, Arm hound + HAIL, Double handcanons if you want to snipe and do absolutely enormous damage to big bois. Be aware you're extremely vulnerable when you do snipe, however. Highest Dash boost and Jump boost.

Kiting and horde management (WD/Fencer)
In some cases, you'll have to run around the map because you accepted to play with 3 rangers with sub 2k armor in mission 107. But even with a good team, you may end up having to kite around the map, stay alive, grab health and revive your teammates. Here are the do's and don'ts.

Do:
- Focus on your own survival. Don't shoot if it's not safe.
- Look at the radar and try to go for green dots, hoping for health. You'll need them to give your teammates max health, and to shrug off some of the damage.
- Look at the radar and make sure you aren't flanked. Ever played Serious sam? Just manipulate the path of enemies with your position. They'll always go straight for you.
- REVIVE THE OTHER FENCER/WD. They're as fast as you, can kite, and thus make the job two times easier. Ranger is too slow and can't handle swarms that well. Air raiders are a special case: if they have some air raid ready, you can, with the AR's agreement, revive him and let him call all of his air raids in a suicide.

Do not:
- ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ revive a teammate that's slow with a swarm on your ass. They'll die as they get up. And you wasted health. Good job moron.
- Revive the dead weight of the team. If you accepted to play with a noob, if you know he died fast and likes to cosplay as a floor cloth, then don't waste health on his ass.
Aggro management
It's mission 104. There's 3 queens, 2 kings including one silver, 2 queen bees and one is red, one Arkhelus, gold ants, silver spiders, and a lot of ways to ♥♥♥♥ this up. And I've seen it way, WAY too often.

Remember mission 4? "Drones only react when close drones get damaged". This principle applies to monsters as well.

So let me get this straight. Don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aggro the whole map by shooting at everything like it's Hard.

Shoot at something, lure it, finish it, then proceed the same way for the whole mission.

In mission 104, for exemple, just pick the queen on the middle, then the normal queen bee+ arkhelus OR silver king + queen on the LEFT side of the map, and continue to pick off big targets one by one, luring them to the spawning point.
If you don't do this, you'll end up being overwhelmed, have to restart, and trashtalk your teammates.

Monster banquet is actually an easy mission when you activate your braincells. Just do the same on every other maps.
Watching your flanks
It's underground mission 2, it's slow, and there are gold ants. The third wave appeared, and you all focus on the main entrance, forgetting about the two paths behind. Two of your comrades die because they forgot it's not Hard. One gold ant gets to your point from behind, and one shoots your teammate. He dies, because he forgot to look at his radar.

You're the only one left, with a swarm in front and a gold next to you. You now have a swarm on your ass and you're the only one left. I hope you're a WD or Fencer, otherwise you're good to restart this slow mission.

Sounds familiar?

Just look at the radar and make sure all enemies are in one direction. Aka be a shepherd and shoot at the sheeps that refuse to follow the pack.
Priority threat list
I won't make an attempt to mimick the Killing Floor 2 tier of threat, but I will nonetheless.

1- Laser aliens. Not only they're precise, but they hinder you from kiting. Eliminate them ASAP. They're the main threats in mission 108.
2- Giant monsters. Self explanatory.
3- Gold/Silvers. Golds can one shoot you if you let them too close. Silvers are easy to dodge when 1v1, but a swarm and you're dead.
4- Shotgun alien. They hurt a hell lot.
5- Tadpoles and bees. God the first ones are annoying yet cute. You can add the red drone here, it's a pain in the ass and hurts a bunch.

The rest's manageable. Just make sure to bring missiles against deroys and enjoy the loot pinatas.
Keyboard + Mouse or Controller?
>shooting game
>needs to aim
Do I really need to spell it out for you?

Just practice boost jumping and animation canceling. Spears with dash and Dexter shotguns with jump are an excellent combination for movement and power. Keep one set of equipment as your movement set, and the second as your slow, long range set.

What would you recommend for training skill with Fencer? I'm a rather novice Fencer, but I'd like to improve. I've already read the guides and gotten the basic strategies down.

You'd be suprised how much the banter's coat hinders most reader's comprehension

got carried but makes a thread saying dont be a noob haha, besides that this is a decent guide

Nice guide though I feel like in this game works better to use a controller

Though I do feel like that’s very overwhelming so I’ll avoid being dead weight and let those who wanna play inferno play it there way . Maybe one day I’ll try but

I think I’ll just avoid pissing off people

Personally I've been going the road less traveled and doing all inferno missions with fencer with controller only. Maybe I'm stubborn, but I like a challenge :)

not ready for inferno yet but thank you for saying not to waste our time with farming DLC2 weps or super late game inferno weps. Didn't realise you wouldn't be able to use them yet

What is it that draws furries with low playtime to get triggered on this guide? It's been happening for years.
IDW da⭕⃤NYAA 26 Dec, 2023 @ 9:25pm
This guide is just the basics of aggro management, the banter makes it look like a preschooler tried to be serious, and the random Keyboard vs Controller at the end makes no sense considering the game was made for consoles first with PC support coming with the English version usually later while its also a recent addition starting with 4.1

The only points you should look at in this guide is at the end area: Kiting to Priority list, everything else can be ignored.

(Has a point about Armor value but that can only be ignored if you have good priority targeting and horde management which if you are looking at a guide then you probably don't have that down)

Well, they wanted tips, but they can't handle the banter. It sorts them out pretty nicely, however.
