To play the map offline, open the console and type "open vnte-batteryb"

VC take advantage of the monsoon rains to conduct a night attack on a US Army artillery battery set up in a paddy field. Once they've taken the Listening Post (A), the VC must seize each of the four guns in the battery (B,C,D and E).

This is designed to be short but tough. Capturing the gun platforms is easy, getting to the gun platforms under fire is not.

This is WIP- time and tickets and objectives are not solid yet. The map needs a lot of little details adding and some areas need minor re-works to make them more intuitive. An earlier version of the map was uploaded as VNTE-Chieu Hoi.

US Army is restricted to Spooky only (Napalm doesn't come out at night and the artillery is under attack. VC have everything at their disposal.

In campaign terms, the sides are fixed: South will always attack and North will always defend. Best placed in a region without the Australians available as they have the Canberra instead of the Spooky.

The map is loosely based on the battle for LZ Cudgel 18/11/67. Massive thanks to Dragon88 for making the paddy platforms for the artillery!

Hotfix 0.2:
-Extended Attacker’s spawn protection across the river for Objs BCD to give them a chance to gain a foothold.
-Increased Attacker’s tickets to 400 and decreased spawn time to 15 seconds.
-Increased Defender’s tickets to 350 and increased spawn time to 20 seconds.

The map has a lot of potential, but the biggest problem IMO are the spawns. Last time I played, someone got 30 kills with m60 in 2 minutes just by standing next to the only spawn there was available for attackers.

ok i like the amosphere. but there should be more caps or more spread out perhaps.
Also I ran into a problem of when i was VC CO and right after we capped Alpha, there was the spooky raining down and the team kept getting spawnkilled for the entire duration. Not that I could call AA anyway.
