How to Increase Your Field of View in TW2
By It'sTobes
This guide will show you how to apply a simple mod which dramatically increases the game's field of view, allowing you to see the full character body at all times and avoid motion sickness from the default FOV. Credit goes to Asmodean, the original uploader for this mod.

The Tutorial
Before I start, please note that this mod will not provide you with a slider of any sort which allows you to adjust the FOV to different settings, it is set to a single setting which can be seen in the screenshot. In addition, this mod will decrease your FPS ever so slighty as the game requires greater rendering for the increased view, but personally my computer had no FPS issues after installing the mod. Lastly, there are known to be a few issues with this mod running alongside the Full Combat Rebalance mod, which is a very popular mod among the Witcher 2 audience.

The reason I make this tutorial is because I struggled to find any guides on the internet, and so I feel the need to share this as I feel a lot of people dislike the FOV in this game.

Anyhow, onto the tutorial!

1) Go to http://redkit.cdprojektred.com/index.php?c=mod&m=show&p=96 and download the mod (you will need to quickly create an account in order to download it). EDIT 2015: It appears people are having trouble with the original link, here's a mirror I made: http://www.filedropper.com/witcher2fovmod

2) Once downloaded, unzip the content and you should have a single folder called Traditional_Camera

3) Go to Documents > Witcher 2 ---- You should see three folders; Config, gamesaves and Downloads. In this same directory create a new folder and name it 'UserContent' (without the apostrophes).

4) Copy/drag the Traditional_Camera folder into your UserContent folder

5) Launch The Witcher 2, select Mods from the on-screen launcher and tick the traditional camera mod, then run the game.

6) Enjoy :)

@ It's Tobez Thanks for the tutorial. You may want to mention that after ticking the mod and launching the game, the FOV will not have changed until you manually adjust it. It will also reset everytime you die or quit/restart, so you'll need to adjust it again. It makes a HUGE difference in the game and makes things more immersive on a bigger monitor. Things may get too small if you max out the FOV on a small screen. Luckily, it's easy to reset to the default FOV.

To increase the FOV on an Xbox 360 controller, press down on the right joystick. Every click makes it wider- up to a max of 90°. To reset to default, press the "Back" button (<).

On a keyboard, press "F", again repeated presses gets you up to a 90° FOV. press Tab to reset.
