128 warnings? Forget about it!
Why must you do some tricks with editor and repeating it 128 times instead of one solid fatal error? :)
You should also take into account that those tricks are being fixed every update by devs.

No need of looking for it internally, only if you are not a maniac with reverse engineering inclinations. I'm pretty sure devs made this app almost invulnerable in front of fatal errors from the inner after all this years app exists.
Look at the external, where devs have no power!! Operating system.
tl;dr
Run wallpaper engine -> Editor and leave it alone
Install soft app - Process Explorer (on Windows), which is pretty usefull tool to have it in you pocket just in case
Run as administrator
In the list of processes you need to find wallpaper.exe or wallpaper64.exe (depends on what type of it you have run)
Right Click -> Properties -> Tab 'Threads'
No hard to guess that this is process' threads)
Feel free to make some mess with them having kill button, but do not touch wallpaper(64).exe thread( i guess, i didn't test it anyway)))

I triggered app shutdown and popped up achievement at the first try killing ddl handling threads)

P.S. It is not binded to Process Explorer. You cant find any tool that is able to kill threads. Or you can even write it on C on you own if you want or can.
