The chest is hidden in an alcove in the lift shaft.

My average has been 30k too in the first pyramid on a full run with goddess of hunting and gods of storms/knowledge, without lucky drops like gold on crit, lucky vessels or double gold. I use the abundance amulet and always plan my kills so I can easily claim all the drops.

git gud scrubs, i'm averaging 70k per run on the third pyramid. tbf though i've almost got the entire tree unlocked.

I've been averaging more around 30k doing a full run of just the first pyramid with an upgraded Hathor. Good scroll drops (such as lucky vessels) helps too.

Random Room #16: It's at the top of the room, just follow the stair cases all the way up. Can't miss it.
