This was a mere blip in the history of the game as it was almost immediately corrected, but was so hilarious I wanted to highlight it and cement it in the history of CS via a weapon finish. I assume one of the mappers at Valve left the collision box on the pigeons in Train, which meant players could ride them. It could be argued this was a challenge, but alas it was patched within a day.

Pigeons have been a source of amusement for me in the past, so this time around I featured it on an MP9, mainly because the weapon has been given the smallest penalty for shooting whilst in the air. I paired it up with the renowned war phrase ‘death from above’ to imply you could fly into battle, much like like the Hawkmen in Flash Gordon, or Ace Rimmer riding the crocodile. I used the ever popular 'Bot Ido' as it features on train and is a favourite among the community.

I came up with ‘Ride of the vcollide’ last minute, for the philistines among you its a pun on Wagner's ‘Ride of the Valkyries’. I vaguely remember when working on the de_tube map some cvars containing that vcollide specifically when testing the physics collisions on models. I didn't replace the text on the gun as ‘death from above’ is a much more widespread phrase and appropriate for the MP9, whereas the other is more niche which might prove less popular, but serves well as a text only 'in-joke'.
