Thanks a lot for the insights, I've been considering whether to invest in software and keep mobility or hardware and complicate my logistics, so far it seems that software is the way to go. :) I've also been eyeing spectrum analyzers since Steinberg's release of SpectraLayers 7, seems quite handy for video post.

I'm almost done with my decision making, looks like I'll go with a few selected software and a new MIDI controller.

BTW, props for the setup. Reminds me of Teque's for some reason. Cheers!

Honestly, I've been using external hardware a lot less since almost everything can be done with a VST Plugin from within DAW... Sure, I'll use certain external gear for live instruments like guitar and stuff... But for post, I use plugins 99% of the time...

Ozone 9 is really nice, but the "Auto" master thing sucks IMHO (neat concept though), but I didn't get it for that so no loss... If you manually use Ozone 9, you can pretty much do anything that requires adjustments for dynamics (EQ, Comp, limiter, Desser, etc...) and it does it "really well".

That said, I'm gonna be dumping alot of the hardware after the summer (and Covid because people don't have extra cash to burn). I much rather invest in more Ram, drive space, and other related things (might upgrade the Audio I/O too).

What, no Boss MetalZone? Your setup sucks! :o)

Jokes aside, are hardware processors (compressors, filters etc.) that much better than, say, Reaktor setups or oZone plug-ins? Never had the opportunity for a side-by-side comparison. Cheers!
