The Invinciblerang
first you need to know

This is probably the most OP and early set of boomerang you can made
focus on making it.

3 warp stones + 2 earth stones

with it you can explode the enemies while the warp stones give you a shield and invisibility
Bunyip shields
if you get trouble with the bunyips
you can buy the shields with Naomi

(Nucleon shield) and (Orbidrills)

First and the start of the Hardcore mode
just play the game normally avoid the deaths because the beginning of the game is not so hard
Grinding opals at beginning
as the beginning of the game is easier
is easy to grind too, just rush some collectibles and replay the races some times
Dont die with crabmersible
to dont die when you be low life with crabmersible, you just need to get out of the crabmersible and get in again this will make his life reset for some reason

look at the life in the last image

Defeating dragonquin
I dont know if you get game over on this battle but avoid it.
so the best way to do that you need to focus picking the power ups,
the power ups also give you extra life some times if you get hit of him

> Dragonquin haves 3 stages of battle

- the first is normal but in the second stage
he starts cast a laser at you

- the final stage he starts to go under you and attack
so what you need to do is:
use the Gunyip's boost when he is going to attack

Defeating Quinking
Quinking is a little hard because he can do combos at you
so the easier and safe way to defeat him is using the Invinciblerang.

its time consuming but its safer than using the shadowrang

(i reccomend changing the second earth stone to another stone just so you don't go blind in the middle of the explosions)

> don't attack him constantly, just one hit and walk around him, and one hit again and so on
> when he is about to throw his boomerang just jump and bite him before his attack

these are the two pieces of advice I have for you to break his defense, Good luck

if you die and catch it right you can exit the mission back to town if that helps anyone :)

I never really understood how this parry works, but I'll test it, and then I'll update the guide if it works, thanks ^^

Bit of a necro, but you can just stand still against the quinking. Get in close, don't move any faster than Ty's "sneaking" animation, and Ty will automatically parry him, hit him when he recoils you can do the fight with just the starter rang hitless. Just need to change stones occasionally. I discovered that after I set my controller down in frustration, to see what would happen.

Well, now you do know about his colour shields, so I'm glad that I was of service!

And fair play, I just thought I'd mention that bit about Quinking’s final phase for those that may end up saying "OMG, he's not down yet!!! What do I do, what do I do?!" in a panic after beating the first one. So that way they don't end up dying due to not thinking straight, and then have to replay the entire mission again in order to get another shot.

Oh, i didnt knew about that detail with the colors, this is good, also Yes, the invinciblerang make the second phase a lot easier since you have a stupidly strong shield xD I left the final part without many details because by the time you have invinciblerang you've already sorted out 90% of the difficulty

2. When fighting the Quinking during the first phase, he'll eventually start to glow red, yellow, blue or green. As soon as any of those happen, make sure to have at least one fire, earth, air or water stone in your Smash chassis depending on the colour!

and

3. As your guide doesn’t mention anything about Quinking’s second/final phase, then I’ll say that you should keep your Invinciblerang equipped until his tail glows. At which point, swap to the Shadowrang, hit his tail with it, repeat this two more times, and you’ll have conquered by far the most difficult Ty game to do a Hardcore run on, imo.

Anytime! Oh, and I've got more things to mention:

1. Ty 3's Hardcore achievements stack with their Normal mode equivalents, and the same goes for Ty's 1 & 2 btw. So to all newcomers of this series that want to get all the cheevos in each game, you won't have to worry about having to do two 100% playthroughs. And if you still don't believe me, search my profile's games for Ty’s 1-3, then have a look at the date & times for the following:

- Ty 1’s Boss Cass Smacked, Boss Cass Smacked (HardCore), Get All The Things! and Get All The Things! (HardCore).

- Ty 2’s Bush Rescued, Bush Rescued (Hardcore), Everything and the Kitchen Sink and Everything and the Kitchen Sink (Hardcore).

and

- Ty 3’s All Done, Horror Movie, Done and Dusted and It’s a Long Way to the Top.

Oh, thanks for the information, this is good to know

Hi, I just beat the Dragonquin on Hardcore mode, and I can confirm that it's ok to die on that fight if you haven't made any manual backups of your save file before fighting it.

The worst thing that happens is that you're sent back to whatever phase of the fight you were on last, with the Dragonquin's health being restored to whatever status it's meant to have at the start of that phase.
