The Bucking Basics:
Oh, sweet, sweet Righteous Bison, where do I begin? You're loyal, precise, and you always get the job done. Nothing seems to shake you off, and you don't struggle when the road goes on.
...
(Before I begin, let it be noted this isn't a guide for the Righteous Bison, but rather for the Bisoneer, a playstyle. As such, this guide gives you one sure build, and only tips and tricks involving this playstyle.) im gay

Let's be honest here, very few soldiers use this bad boy, and even fewer use it as their primary weapon. This is because, in the wrong or unexperienced hands, this guy's weak. Using the Bison changes your playstyle completely, no-longer will you be on the front-lines, rather, you'll be supporting from a distance.

Before we go on, here's the loadout you should be using to properly play the Bisoner Bucker~

Primary: Rocket Jumper
Oh no, I won't be using rockets to deal damage!?!
No, you won't, you'll be using them to escape, and to get to good shooting spots. The Bisoneer Bucker isn't a straight up damage play-style, it's a supporter, and this'll make your job much easier, I assure you.

Secondary: The Righteous Bison
This is your primary, your damage, and your best friend. Pyros can't reflect these guys, the projectile pierces multiple foes, and, paired with unlimited ammo, this guy has an uber fast reload speed.

Melee: Anything but the Zatochi or Escape Plan
I highly recommend getting the Disciplinary Action, to increase your support abilities.

Alrighty, now lets go over the pros and cons:

Pros
-Piercing Shots
-Decent Damage
-Unlimited Ammo
-Fast Reload
-Can't be Deflected
-Lights huntsman arrows from a distance
-The crits, THE CRITS!!
-Scouts run into the shots

Cons
-Only 4 shots per clip
-Projectile isn't too fast
-Only deals 20% damage to Sentries

"Decent Damage, are you kidding, that weapon is weak!"
In the right hands, despite popular belief, this weapon is quite godly, with it's damage being:

Normal Clip: (3 Successful Hits per Projectile)
Minimum: 144
Base: 192
Ramp Up: 240

Mini-Crit Projectile:
Projectile: 48-90
Clip: 192-360

Crit Projectile:
Projectile: 108-180
Clip: 432 -720

Note: Due to recent updates, these numbers may vary.

Conclusion: Not Weak
How to Use:
Before We Begin

Alright class, take notes here. There are 5 basic things you should know about the Righteous Bison, these are;

-It's one of the very, very few projectiles that pierces both allies, buildings, AND enemies. This will come in handy!

-It has a very, very large hitbox. You can easily hit enemies hiding behind objects, or on higher platforms.

-It can't be reflected. Pyros can't mess you up!

-It can hit an indefinite amount of times. Likely, you'll be hitting 2-3 times per projectile, but this bad boy can actually hit an infinite amount. This makes hitting mobs of enemies and fleeing opponents really rewarding.

-It has a very fast reloading speed, and infinite ammo. You can abuse this to scare enemies into more of your projectile spam, as well as to get multiple cheap shots.

So, What Now?

Your role on the battlefield is mainly ranged support. You can dish out moderate damage at great lengths to multiple foes, which can often make you a priority to kill. You should be keeping an eye out for scouts, or fleeing enemies, as your infinite piercing bullets can finish them off easily.

Your main goal is to pierce large groups, and, of course, to rack up those kills and assists. When played correctly, you should expect to recieve more assists than a medic, along with multiple easy kills.

You should single out snipers, and hiding players as well. This will aid your team greatly.

Crits Please
Crits + Bison = the most OP thing on earth~
Your piercing and multiple hits give you the ability to clear mobs faster than any other player on your battle-field when "kritzed".

Should you get crits, however, your play-style shouldn't change too much. Simply continue firing from a safe distance, or behind a team meat wall.

You're an Assassin, Harry!
One big, BIG perk about the Bison, is it's hard to tell you've been shot by one. When hit by the projectile, your only identification of being shot is that your health goes down. This makes you great when firing from a hiding place, as they'll hardly notice your deadly shots compared to your team's storm of bullets.

Quick Recap:
Okay, class, so. Today we learned;

-The Righteous Bison, is quick, dangerous, and can hit foes in the fray without attracting attention

-Your shots hit infinite, with no gravitational or time limited influences. Only surfaces will stop your shot's rampage

-Crits/ Mini-Crits give you more mobbing damage than nearly any class, other than sticky bomb demo traps.

Tricks of the Trade
Hit-Box =/= Surface Collision

Think of the Righteous Bison's projectile as a radioactive ball of hurt. Just being near the thing has ill, and often deadly, effects.

Ex: Sniper is hiding behind a box.
Simply shooting above, or the the side of the box can sprinkle tons of nice, radioactive dust on your foe, dealing the damage you desired.

Meat Walls

Your team is a giant, magical meat wall. Your bullets go through, the the enemy's bullets do not. The trick here is to hide behind everybody, and spam your laz0rs of doom. Do keep distance, though, as explosives have decent hitbox sizes~

Meat Walls (Part Two!)

Works the opposite too. Big group of Heavies, Medics, Soilders, you name it, are charging dead ahead for your level one sentry Engi, Medic and Sniper. What do you do? Spam. The small little rings of death you shoot out will hit EVERYONE in a straight line, nothing stopping it. Entire groups will go from 4/4 health to 1/4 health in a matter of seconds.

B00m, Body-Shot

Your projectile has no gravity, and doesn't expire untill it hits a building or a surface. Don't be afraid to fire at foes from great distances, as more often than not, you'll be dealing some pretty nice damage from any range.

Last but not least:

Just be annoying. Jump around, rocket jump away, and piss off mobs of enemies. It's fun, and will make your life as a Bisoneer alot more fun.
Bisoneer VS Vanilla
What am I gaining?
By going bisoneer, you instantly gain a new role, support. Your offense role, though still there, is faded. Your survivability as a whole will increase, as you'll no longer be charging on the front lines. You'll have an easier time dealing with nests, and hitting foes at a distance.

Firing from safe/defensive spots will instantly become for rewarding, and your shots won't fling enemies away from ally fire.

What am I losing?
Banners. You won't have access to team buffs with the bison at all. You'll lose the ability to fight on the front lines in an effective manner, as your close combat shots won't be as strong as rocket shots. You'll also lose one form of mobbing, in exchange for another.

The Verdict:

Bisoneer is neither better, nor worser than Vanilla Soldier. Both offer their own unique gameplay styles, and both can get their job done in the right hands.
BvM: Bisoneer versus Machine
Role:
Dealing moderate to high damage to large groups at high speeds.

Watchout for:
Spies, Super Scouts

Upgrades:
For the bison, you're going to want to invest highly in clip size and reload speed, to dish out extreme mobbing and damages. Once that's done, invest in firing speed, and maybe some health regen.

For your body, you won't be getting close into the fray, so your only real fear should be things like bullets. Invest in some bullet defense, and some movement speed. If you're scared of crits, It would be wise to invest in crit defense as well.

For your canteen, load it up with crits. Bison crits are the deadliest things ingame, and using these easily makes you one of the team's most vital assets

What do I do?

Your mission is actually rather simple. Your projectiles naturally have infinite hits, and non-stop piercing. Your goal is to hit the clusters, and dish out your natural insane damage. Unlike most classes, your damage fall-off hardly matters, you'll be dealing decent damage at any range.

A great thing about mvm is that the robots are rather slow. This gives your projectiles a chance to hit more than the regular 2-3 times. This especially shows on tanks and giants. From behind your allies, simply fire rapidly to see any foe evaporate before you, big or small.

The only major negative you have is your lack of knock-back. The bison has one of the smallest, almost non-existent, knock-backs in the game. Though this does make for a slight problem, the crit bison usually solves this issue by melting the problem away.

On the video, when the tank comes, watch the HP bar of it. It slows down almost to a stop when Bison man stops to reload.
