Introduction
This guide was made to provide data in an organized way, so you will be able to compare the units bearing the same names in Napoleon Total War.
I have also compared those units, and stated my personal opinion in the lower row of the table.
Line Infantry
Light Infantry
Skirmishers

Grenadiers
Foot Guards/Elite Infantry
Light Cavalry
Lancers
Dragoons
Horse Guards/Elite Cavalry
Conclusion
Please don't take what's written in that guide as complete truth, as the verdicts are my personal opinions and I might be wrong. The most important thing about this guide is that you can easily compare units using the data provided. I might have made some mistakes in the data.
I might write a guide about artillery/DLC units later.
I Hope you enjoyed reading this guide and discovered something new about the Napoleon Total War world.

I would appreciate feedback!

Outdated, spanish lines don't have any moral bonus now and cost 600

Good read, but imo its missing upkeep cost. In campaign lower upkeep allows you to mass more of something else. For vanilla its not too important though.

Since in napoleon you can't fire by rank your line infantry should just use their bayonets, you can bait the enemy to fire a volley, get closer, fire one yourself and then just charge. Who cares, all the good soldiers are in the light infantry regiments, all the smart people in artillery and everyone noteworthy from your country is going to sit on a horse

this is helpful since I came from Ultimate General Civil War which never has this many units.

Patrick Harper:
There are two kinds of officers, sir: killin' officers and murderin' officers. Killin' officers are poor old buggers that get you killed by mistake. Murderin' officers are mad, bad, old buggers that get you killed on purpose -- for a country, for a religion, maybe even for a flag. You see that Major Hogan, sir? That's what I call a murderin' officer.
