Let's start with whether you are willing to pay extra for the game .
If so ,it will be easier for you to start. To buy all the DLC not sure, but personally I recommend to buy Survival: support Pack DLC at the moment it costs 199 rubles or $ 3.04 ,but I advise you to take a discount of 99 rubles or $ 1.51 on steam sales . It gives you an advantage in the initial stage of the game , increasing inventory slots + weapons,clothes and money .
If not ,you still are given a starter kit.
CAUTION
IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO TAKE ALL ITEMS FROM INVENTORY !!!
Reasons

Beginning

CRAFT
The crafting in the game is very simple : for description of all cravtov will take quite a long time ,but I will give advice ,have Canada object has a description ,read it carefully . Then razdobudete dishes for any ,even China come (you can find this on helicopter landing pads ,or in the refrigerator ) In the fire, put the dishes ,and then the food (meat ,chicken and fish). Wood+gasoline+lighter+dishes+food=fried food !!! What would get the chicken ,you need to shoot a flock of birds ,they do not fly high ,it is recommended to use : machines or shotguns ,pulimets are not recommended ( large recoil ).
