[WOTC] Cosmo Dragoon

Adds Cosmo Dragoon percussion revolver, a new special pistol for you to acquire and upgrade throughout the campaign.

The Cosmo Dragoon is acquired through Percussion Revolver research -> Calibrate Percussion Revolver proving grounds project. It will have roughly mag-tier stats at first, and then it can be upgraded to roughly beam-tier stats through Engineering, once you complete Plasma Rifle research.

Overall resource cost is identical to that of the Shadowkeeper.

Depending on which campaign options you are using, the Percussion Revolver research will become available at different times, but it is generally coded to appear around the same time you get access to Shadowkeeper.

Stats-wise, Cosmo Dragoon is like an antithesis to Shadowkeeper, instead of an aim bonus it gets an aim penalty, but it shreds armor, deals higher minimum damage, and gains bonuses to crit chance based on how many pistol-related perks the user has.

The mod is safe to add mid-campaign.

Alien Hunters DLC is not required, the mod should still function correctly without it. Researching Modular Weapons and completing Advent Officer Autopsy will unlock the necessary research.


Should be compatible with almost anything.
Compatible with Primary Secondaries out of the box.

Q: What is it, and where does it come from?
A: It's the titular pistol/revolver in Leiji Matsumoto's universe of Galaxy Express, and Space Pirate Captain Harlock.

Q: Why only one?
A: In the universe they come from, only 4 have been made and are exceptionally powerful and rare. Although there might be a second one.... you might have to hunt it down. After you defeat the Chosen Hunter and research his weapons, you will be able to produce a second Dragoon revolver through Proving Grounds. It has identical stats, but uses a silver and ivory skin.

Q: Will any other weapons be made like the Gravity Saber?
A: Highly doubt it, any other anime weapons is a niche; and i'm sure this is going to be the first and last of something like this.

Q: I just want the pistol for free, and i'd rather not deal with the time sink to get one; how do i get it?
A: I personally am not a big fan of having just fancy sexy looking weapons just be "free." But if you really want it you can use this console command:

Q: Three tiers cosmetics version of the pistol?
A: Just use XSkin or Weapon Skin Replacer.
