Basic options
  • Add a Player Start to the level. PlayerStart Actor can be found in: /Game/Blueprints/Game/BP_Anc_PlayerStart

    Those are basic PlayerStart options:

  • Starting Tier - specifies technology tier this player will start with. Choose between 0 and 2. (0 = tier 1, 1 = tier 2, 2 = tier 3)

  • Base Buildings Instant Build - determines if the starting buildings (defined in Instant Build Buildings) will be already built when the map start. If this option is unchecked you will see peasants that are running to build this building.

  • Desired Player Index - Choose between 0 and 5. You can't choose same index on more than one PlayerStart. Index 0 is the player who will be controlled by human when you click Play In Editor for tests.

  • Team Index - Choose between 0 and 1. Specifies to which team the player will belong to.

  • Current Spawn Transforms - Specifies location of buildings. More info on that in the next section.

  • Instant Build Buildings - Determines which buildings will be built instantly on level start.

  • Nation - Which nation this Player Start is (only in single-player).

  • Refresh and Strong Refresh - helper buttons, used when you move player start or spawn transforms.

  • Is AI Controlled - Mark if this is a base for AI, unmark if this is a base for the player (only in single-player. Only one Player Start on level should have this checkbox unchecked).

  • Buildings Per Nation - Ignore this ;)

  • Starting Squad - chooses which squad will go out of the Town Hall on map start. Put null if you don't want to have starting squad. If you want to change this squad, be advised - you will have to take care of loading this squad assets on your own. More info on loading HERE.
Choose building locations
So let's go back to Current Spawn Transforms. You can see and set exact location of a builiding here. To do this you can set location in this property.

But more natural way to set it is just select Current Spawn Transform (a little diamond shaped object inside building - see screen below) and just move it to location where you want.

Unfortunatelly the change of location won't refresh view immediately. You need to click Refresh to see your change.
