Introduction
Hello, CS Players!

My name is Behr, and I'm a former competitive CS player who now writes guides for the community. The commands in this guide are designed to be a solid starting point that you can easily customize to fit your personal preferences.

My guides are written to be simple, easy, and effective. Let's begin.
1. Enabling the Console
If you haven't enabled your developer console yet, you'll need to do so before we start.

1. Go to Settings > Game.

2. Find the Enable Developer Console option and set it to Yes.

3. Press the backtick key (~ ) on your keyboard to open the console. This key is usually located just below the Esc key.
2. Customizing Your Viewmodel
Your view model is how your weapon and hands are displayed on the screen. Adjusting it can give you a clearer view of the action, helping you spot enemies more easily.

Here are the key commands to customise your weapon position and get a cleaner, more competitive view.

Template you can try out:

viewmodel_fov 68

viewmodel_offset_x 2.5

viewmodel_offset_y 2

viewmodel_offset_z -2

What these commands do:

viewmodel_fov controls the weapon's field of view, or how far away the gun appears. The default is 60, but a value of 68 is the maximum and a popular choice among pros because it makes your weapon look smaller and gives you a wider view.

viewmodel_offset_x,
-- Control the X axis
viewmodel_offset_y,
-- Controls the Y axis
viewmodel_offset_z
-- Controls the Z axis

These control the position of your weapon on the screen.
These values are a great starting point for a position that keeps the weapon out of your way while still looking natural.
3. Adjusting Weapon Bobbing
In CS:GO, a set of commands allowed you to completely disable the weapon bobbing animation while running. This made the game feel more static and predictable.

In CS2, those commands have been changed or removed.

Valve has replaced the old system with cl_usenewbob, which controls the new bobbing animation. For a more stable view, you can use the following commands to minimise the distracting movement.
cl_bob_lower_amt 5

cl_bobamt_lat 0.1

cl_bobamt_vert 0.1

By using these commands, you can make the weapon's movement during walking and running less noticeable without completely removing it.

Now you have a solid foundation for your weapon viewmodel and are ready to customise it to your liking!
4. Thank you
Finding the perfect viewmodel is a game-changer. I spent a lot of time in CS:GO getting mine just right, and these commands are a great place to start. Don't be afraid to experiment with the numbers until you find the exact position that feels comfortable and gives you the clearest view of the action.

Thanks for checking out my guide. Good luck out there!
