Introduction: What is Crafting?

Crafting in Smashmuck Champions is very simple once you get to know how it works. Fortuantely, this guide is here to show you just how to make use of it!

By combining various crafting materials, you can create many different things:
  • Weapons
  • Training Routines
  • Workouts
  • Avatars
  • Logos
  • Champions
  • and Outfits

At this time, Medals and Emotes cannot be crafted.
How to Craft (Basics)
This section will cover the basics of crafting, including how to get to the crafting screen. Later sections will cover where to get parts and the specific recipes.

Step One:

Press the "Coach" button, which is located next to your basic profile information. This button can be found at the top of the screen towards the right side.

Step Two:

One the right side of the screen is a sidebar of menus. Press the last one, which is labeled "Crafting".

Step Three:

You're now at the main crafting window. From here, you have a few options.

(1) These are your crafting parts. The collapsible sections contain different types of parts, however.
  • Junk - The most basic of materials. These will be used to create sub-components.
  • Crafting Components - These are your sub-components that were made from Junk. You'll use these to create final products.
  • Complete Items - When you craft a complete item, it is automatically consumed and added to your account if it is something you did not previously own (example: champion). However, if you crafted a duplicate, it will appear here so you can go through a "re-craft" process at a chance at something else.

(2) Blueprints! This drop-down menu contains blueprints to common crafting combinations. It will automatically fill in empty slots with the proper materials if you possess them. The other option is "Quick Craft", which allows you to place whatever items in the slots you wish. This method must be used when trying to discover secret blueprints.

(3) When you have entered in the proper number and type of items in the blueprint sections, a preview of the crafting result will be seen in this box. Many crafting attempts will result in a randomized item of the type you're trying to craft (ex: a random avatar picture).

Next:

You now know the basics. Next section will cover the types of crafting materials and how to get them. After that, recipes!
Where to Get Materials
There are two ways to grab yourself some of these fantastic crafting materials.

Smashmuck Store

At the store, you can spend Smashbucks to obtain what are called Crafting Boosters. 700 Smashbucks (SB) are granted automatically upon completing the tutorial quests (in addition to 4000 Clobbercoins, a different currency).

Past the initial 700 SB, the standard way to obtain more is by spending real money. Each Smashbuck is equal to one cent (in US currency).

Three Crafting Boosters are currently available in the store. You may purchase them any number of times, provided you can afford it.

  • Value Crafting Booster - 98 SB
  • Super Crafting Booster - 196 SB
  • Ultra Crafting Booster - 490 SB (contains 42 items)

Note: The contents in a Booster are randomized. It can contain any type of material; this includes Junk, Components, and even Completed items if you're lucky!

Daily Challenges

The most common method of earning those coveted materials is simply playing the game. Available daily are set of three Challenges for you to complete. By finishing each one, you'll earn two random crafting parts (usually Junk). By completing all three that day, you'll earn an additional six parts for your hard work.

Visit the Home screen (press the button at the top left) to see your Challenge progress.

Challenges are randomized each day, so be sure to finish them up before that time to grab your bonus. Possible challenges include:
  • Deal Damage - The amount of damage you have personally dealt.
  • Heal Amount - The amount of healing you have personally done. Health packs and self-healing count.
  • Returns - Obtained by picking up your team's plunderball from the ground, returning it to your base automatically. Usually 5.
  • Champions Played - Play different champions to get this. Champions on the Free rotation do count. Generally wants 5.
  • Matches Played - THe number of matches you have finished that day. Often need 5 to complete the challenge.

Note that challenge progress is counted over multiple matches unless otherwise mentioned. Example: If a challenge is to deal 20,000 damage, you may do that over any number of matches before the reset.

Crafting Materials
Before we get to actual creation, it's important to understand the materials you'll be using.

Junk
The most basic item type and what you'll often obtain from Boosters and Challenge rewards.
  • Spray Paint - Used to create Avatars and Logos
  • Broken Equipment - Used for Workouts and Workout Routines
  • Salvaged Metal - Weapons are made with this junk
  • Pennant Scraps - The most coveted junk, used to create Champions
  • Torn Outfit - Use these for Champion Outfits

Crafting Components
Made from Junk, these items are the final step before a Completed Item.
  • Pennants - Come in the form of Defense, Offense, and Support and used to create their respective Champions in the same class.
  • Weapon Components - Both Defense and Offense, which are used to make weapons for champions of their respective class.
  • Outfit Piece - Just like champions, they come in Defense, Offense, and Support varieties.

Complete Items
When finishing an item, it will automatically be consumed and unlocked for your account. If you already own an item and manage to obtain another, it will show up in this section so that you can recraft it for a chance at something you do not have.
  • Champions
  • Avatars
  • Logos
  • Weapons
  • Workouts
Crafting Recipes (Blueprints)
Yes, it's finally time for the recipes (known as Blueprints) themselves to be revealed. All basic blueprints are already located in the crafting menu, but I'll list them here for clarity.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:
  • "Recraft" is when you have an extra finished item and need to try and change it to one you do not have.
  • When trying to craft a Completed Item, your result will be randomized, so getting the particular item you want may take several tries.
  • Some blueprints, known as Secret Blueprints, will not be listed in-game. You'll need to experiment with combinations to find them. Currently, secret blueprints are not available, but the development staff will make us aware of when some are added.
  • Because of the fact Outfits require Pennants to craft as do Champions, it is often recommened you focus on unlocking some Champions before deciding to unlock Outfits.
