Have been looking into this game and want to learn the basics (veteran Stellaris and ES 1 / 2 player). This is totally different game and needs different mindset when approaching it, that stuck with me and once I stopped thinking why it takes long to build and started reading what research means and how things work.
Sidenote: if you look at the triangle where you adjust the distribution of production, just above that space is triangle symbol and another with slider symbol. Click that and you get sliders to adjust the economy akin to Hearts Of Iron in which you can lock stuff and distribute just between 2 at the time :)
After playthrough which I stopped and thought that I need to know how things work and didnt read much of the tooltips. After going over your guide I find that things are going better and have been testing how stuff works. It would help to get wiki (there must be manual to read somewhere, time to read the manual) :)
Just a couple of quick thoughts for you all.
Since I wrote this, the game has had many changes, but the underlying themes in the guide still work.
For first time players I a cannot over-emphasize how important the available tooltips are, check them out and read them before making your decisions.
As asfariel writes, "It is definitely much more complex than fist imagined"
I have started to play this gem today... and what should I say... patience is so important. I have made the mistake to underestimate this game on first sight. It is definitely much more complex than fist imagined. Your guide will help me a lot.
