English would be more accurate than British, a Welshman and a Scotsman can be called British too, it's a general term for someone from that island.

What about this image suggests that they're specifically the 10th Foot? Many British infantry regiments had yellow facings, it could be any of them from 10th, 44th (East Essex), 9th (East Norfolk), 88th regiments to name but a few.

If this is the 10th regiment of foot, they are from Lincolnshire. So technically you can call them English, but British would be more accurate.
