Almost forgot, I disabled steam's auto-update feature for dark souls before applying these fixes.

My dark souls is running great now, here's how I did it. First, I downloaded dsfix 2.2 from here http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/ and installed it. Then I installed this to get gfwl sorted out http://darksouls.nexusmods.com/mods/26/? , and fyi I only copied the dsound.dll file and the XliveProtectDisabler.asi file to the data folder, as the other files are newer and included in the dsfix 2.2. Did this last night to get my dark souls running smooth. Hope this helps guys :D

WARNING this guide is deprecated , download updated dsmfix and dsfix and play with updated game !

Tenno, can you please elaborate your problem? are you using the hotfixed version? you might also wanna try the steam forums for help, they probably have more knowledge on troubleshooting.
