Funny thing, the book is on the table in office when you arrive at mansion 2nd time, just to tease you. XD
As for Escape Artist, if you got caught you will have to start a new playthrough. Which is kinda annoying, since it's pretty far in. My tip is to stand behind the unlit brazier on the right path, and start sprinting as soon as you see that Argonian-looking mf.
And as for Glutton for Punishment, yeah, you need to start a new, all-death playthrough. And take ending 2 since it's shorter anyway.
1. Yes, because if I remember correctly the last trophy item I got was the Elder Thing statue, not the Necronomicon, which I'd gotten on a previous playthrough, and the achievement appeared when I picked up the statue. I think. Also, the Nosy Parker one works like this. I would assume that it works with loading saves as well as repeat playthroughs, but I have no way to test it now that I already have the achievements.
2. No, based on the way the Escape Artist achievement doesn't work if you fail and then reload an earlier save- you have to do it right the first time on an individual playthrough. My guess would be that the death/no death achievements work similarly- also because they appear at the very end of the game, so I suspect it tallies everything from that single linear playthrough without counting side trips to other save games.
However, not 100% sure on either of those.
1. If I missed 2 collectibles (trophy, document, secret) can I just reload a previous save, get collectible 1, reload another, get collectible 2 and get the trophy?
2. I'm trying to get the no-death achievement. Can I get the death achievements if I make save points before each death section, reload and die one-by-one?
And well done on all the effort you put into this guide... BRAVO!!
I finished my first play through with 85% completion (
