By PumpkinCake
Don't have the patience to learn this game inside and out? You can get No Point in Dying in one run.

Requirements
This guide requires that you have Cheat Engine installed. It's a free tool that lets you scan for, edit, and freeze values in an application, among other things.
I also recommend that you play through LIMBO the whole way at least once before trying for No Point in Dying.

No Point in Dying is an achievement that requires you to play through the entire game from start to finish with 5 or fewer deaths. Saving and exiting, loading a chapter, or dying 6 or more times disqualifies the run.
If you're like me, you like the game LIMBO well enough, but not so much that you're willing to practice the game for hours in order to get one achievement.
Luckily, we can trick LIMBO into thinking you've died far fewer times than you actually have.
Cheat Engine
Launch Cheat Engine, then launch LIMBO. On the main menu, choose Start New Game. It has to be that option, or the achievement won't pop.

Switch windows to Cheat Engine.
Choose limbo.exe from the list of processes to open.

Manually add the address 0085fd60, with the type 4 Bytes. It should equal 0. This number represents the number of times you have died in LIMBO.

Switch windows back to LIMBO and play the game. When you die, the address you changed should tick up by 1. Edit it back to 0 to reset the death counter for the No Point in Dying achievement.

You can allow the number to get as high as 5 and still get the achievement, but if it to gets too high, the run is disqualified. Switching it back to 0 won't help. Therefore, I recommend resetting it to 0 every time you die.

You have to play the entire game from start to finish. The achievement should pop when the end credits begin.

Alternative Addresses
It's possible that your death counter is on a different address than 0085fd60. If that's the case, you'll have to scan for it using Cheat Engine.

Start a new game and switch windows to Cheat Engine.
The Scan Type should be Exact Value.
The Value Type should be 4 Bytes.
Scan for a value of 0.

Switch windows to LIMBO and run forward into the first spiked pit. Respawn and then switch windows to Cheat Engine.
Scan for a value of 1.

Switch windows back to LIMBO and repeat the process, scanning for one number higher each time you die. Repeat until only one address is left. This address represents your death counter. Double click it to add it to your address list.

If you had to die more than 5 times to narrow it down to one address, then start a new game. The address you found should change its value to 0, and your run will be eligible for the No Point in Dying achievement.

Play LIMBO and reset your death counter to 0 each time you die. Never let it go above 5. The achievement should pop when the end credits begin.

There's a reason an achievement like this wasn't in Inside. Can't imagine a sucker wasting time doing this legit.

But - people!. if you can't truly get it. Then ffs,, train up for it?.

We are people here, actually practicing and training up for Truly Achieving Achievements.

Mean-While, some people, like to just do it ... by, not doing it?.

What the fuck is the point?. Why are you even going for 100%, when it's not truly 100% anyway?

as my friend suggested to me, you can click on the square window under the word "Active" and a cross will appear there, which means we will fix the value 0, and you will not need to reset it every time)

Thanks for the information. There's a threshold where resetting the counter stops working, and I'm not sure where that is. I can't exactly test it haha
