Skip the intro scenes

For some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason, the story intro scenes that really should only play when you start a new playthrough play every single time you start the game.

How would you like to cut the number of stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you have to skip before you play in half? This guide will tell you how to do so.

You need to head to Steam\steamapps\common\Thronebreaker The Witcher Tales\Thronebreaker_Data\StreamingAssets\videos\campaign

The simplest way to do that is by right clicking on Thronebreaker in your library, and selecting "properties - local files - browse local files".

Now Rename nr000_cs1_game_intro to nr000_cs1_game_intro2 and tb_intro_logo_en_us (or " tb_intro_logo_en_ru" "en_pol", depending on your location) to tb_intro_logo_en_us2

Don't rename the .manifest files with the same name - the files that need renaming are the ones bigger than 1kB, without an extension (e.g. .exe and .manifest are extensions).

Also, "tb_intro_logo_en_us" might be "tb_intro_logo_en_ru" or "tb_intro_logo_en_pl" or whatever your region is.

Note for me, the folder was in <Steam install location>\steamapps\common\Thronebreaker The Witcher Tales\Thronebreaker_Data\StreamingAssets\videos\campaign

Works great, thanks.

I'm 44 hours into the game before finally looking up how to do this, I get annoyed each time I launch the game but then I play and forget about it.

Seriously, why do game developers think we want to have to manually skip intros every single time we launch a game? Every game needs to have 'skip intros' in the option screen.
