Natural Progression (4 Achievements)
These achievements are unlocked naturally by beating the game.

Achievement
Description
The bigger they are...
Defeat the boss in Act 1.
Vengeance is mine
Defeat the boss in Act 2.
Flyswatter
Defeat the boss in Act 3.
You and what army?
Defeat the boss in Act 4.
Character Completion (4 Achievements)
These achievements are unlocked once you clear all the levels for each character.

You only need to clear up to Act 4 to get this achievement.

Achievement
Description
Master caster
Complete all levels as the Mage.
Brute
Complete all levels as the Warrior.
Crazy witch
Complete all levels as the Shaman.
Bow for hire
Complete all levels as the Ranger.
Avoiding Hazards (3 Achievements)
General Tips:
  • To dodge the mine carts effectively, stick to dodging up or down. Never stay in the middle of the 2 tracks. When 2 carts come almost simultaneously, just double jump. It's much more efficient than doing a risky dodge roll in that short time span.
  • There's more than enough time to pick a spot to dodge the acid. I usually stick to the bottom left side.
  • The falling rocks in The Citadel level hit for a large radius. Dodge or jump away as soon as you see the X marking on the floor.

Achievement
Description
Map Name
Pesky carts
Avoid the minecarts in the Mine level.
The Mine (Act 1)
Hazmat
Avoid the acid attacks during the elevator ride in the Queen's Tower.
Queen's Tower (Act 3)
Heads up!
Avoid all falling rocks in the Citadel level.
The Citadel (Act 4)
Equipment Collection (2 Achievements)
These 2 achievements are unlocked mostly through regular gameplay. Surprisingly, Ironhide may take longer than Arsenal despite the difference in quantity needed.

As an anecdotal reference, I got Arsenal before finishing the game (after beating it with 2 characters). I got Ironhide while doing all the challenges and grinding to level 40 on my second character.

Achievement
Description
Arsenal
Unlock 100 different weapons.
Ironhide
Unlock 30 different armors.

The fastest method of unlocking more armors is to replay boss levels/battles. You do not need to pick up any equipment for it to count (in a local game at least). It automatically gets added to your storage in town.

An easy place to unlock more weapons and armor in less than 2 minutes is the final level of the DLC Act 5. The boss battle is shorter than the dialogue. You will notice I didn't get any items here mainly because I've unlocked everything for that character.

Multiple Kills (2 Achievements)
General Tips:
  • The fastest place to gain environment kills is in the DLC map Naruvu River and knock enemies off the raft.
  • Orcs and Orc Brutes count towards large enemies. Make sure to finish them off with the regular attacks on a standard mount instead of the sliding tackle move. I've had more success increasing the counter that way.

Achievement
Description
Clean hands
Killed 100 enemies using the environment or traps.
There's no David
Killed 20 large enemies while riding a mount.
Co-op (3 Achievements)
In order to get Wingmen, one partner can simply launch an enemy while the other hits it in the air.

The whole crew requires you to play co-op with all characters without mirroring anyone. As an example, you can have your partner complete 3 different levels with your main character (with him/her using a different character from yours). For the final character needed, you can let your partner use your main/favorite character while you use someone else. Note that this can also be done locally through the use of multiple controllers.

Once again, you only need to complete up until Act 4 in order to get Mutual benefit. DLC levels are not counted towards this achievement.

Achievement
Description
Wingmen
Juggled an enemy together with another player.
The whole crew
Completed a level with help from each of the four classes.
Mutual benefit
Completed all levels in multiplayer.
Perfect Run (4 Achievements)
The first 2 achievements can be done on the very first level of Act 1.

The last 2 achievements can easily be completed with high level character. The weapons/equipment past level 35 get really strong (especially a Ranger's bow). These insanely strong weapons will help you clear levels very fast. I recommend using a Ranger to speed clear all levels later on because their 3-bar power attack combined with a rage potion can wipe out most bosses in 1 hit.

Achievement
Description
Can't touch this
Avoided getting hit during a battle sequence.
Untouchable
Completed a level without taking any damage from enemies.
Invincible
Completed all levels without dying.
Gold medalist
Earned gold medals on all the main game levels.
Miscellaneous (6 Achievements)
Achievement
Description
Legendary Hero
Reached the max level.
Gotta learn them all
Performed all the different combo finishers.
Fore!
Uppercutted 4 enemies into the air at the same time.
Bookworm
Spent at least 4 seconds on each page of the 'how to play' section.
Tank me later
Completed the Tank Garrison level without using the tank.
Deconstruction
Killed the mini-boss in the Lost Metropolis without being hit by it.

Legendary Hero

The maximum level is 40. The best way to grind levels is to complete all challenges and earn all gold medals first (see Never back down achievement). Once you have completed this, you should at least be 75 or 80% of the way to 40. Once you get past that point, experience will become quite slow if you don't have the DLC levels. The Jungle Hunt DLC is level-appropriate for 33-37. The best place to farm experience is to replay The Pool level and defeat Big Mama. She gives massive experience which contributes about 15-20% each time at level 39.

Personally I would recommend Ranger for the fast damage and devastating power attack. When combined with a rage potion, Big mama drops very quickly.

Gotta learn them all

In order to do this you need to get at least all characters to level 22. This unlocks their final combo moves. You need to perform every single combo move they each have. Almost all of them can be done without enemies/in town except for the Ranger's "Pin Cushion" and the Mage's "Stasis Blast".

Fore!

Just group 4 or more enemies and use your launching (upwards of course) heavy attack on them.

Bookworm

Self-Explanatory. Spend at least 4 seconds on each section. It's in the Main Menu.

Tank me later

In the Tank Garrison level, DO NOT get on the tank. Even getting on the tank will count as using it.

Deconstruction

The mini-boss in question is the large golem stuck in the background. This is one of the many easy achievements that a ranger can clear with a rage potion and a fully charged power attack.
Jungle Hunt DLC (5 Achievements)
Achievement
Description
The remedy
Defeat the boss in Act 5.
Extreme rafting
Avoid all obstacles during the raft ride.
Swimming instructor
Throw 10 enemies into the Naruvu River.
Bad omen
Complete all levels in the Jungle Hunt DLC without destroying any voodoo dolls.
Pool party
Jump into the piranha pool next to the boss.

The remedy & Pool party

Extreme rafting & Swimming instructor

These achievement can be obtained only in the Naruvu River level.

The obstacles you have to avoid consist of 2 types of vines. There are indestructible vines that you have to jump over and then there are destructible vines that completely block your path if left unattended. The run doesn't have to be perfect, though it may take a few tries according to others (depending on how smoothly you do it).

Bad omen

In the DLC level Grimmoc Hideout, you will see a short cutscene wherein a bunch of orcs are training on dummies. These are the dolls you have to keep alive.
  • Do not attract the orcs into charge anywhere near the dolls.
  • Do not knock them against the dolls.
  • Simply stunlock them below/away from the dolls by doing a 3 hit combo (without the heavy attack).
  • Avoid using lightning element weapons because the electric discharge can damage/destroy nearby dolls.

It's over 9,000!!!
I got this achievement using a level 32 mage shortly after beating Act 4. I went onto the first level of the DLC to test out the damage difference of my 3-bar power attack in different environments (depending on the element of your secondary weapon). Basically what I am trying to say is that an ice scroll used in act 4 has it's damage significantly reduced. If you wanna do this achievement with an ice element scroll, pick another area.

I have also read in another guide[www.trueachievements.com] that a maxed out Warrior can achieve this as well.

Here were my stats when I got it:

-- I used crystals to get 10 more power.
-- My damage went from close to 8.5k in act 4 to 12k in act 5. Element matters.
Never back down
My good friend dfg has written up a guide tailored for maxed out characters. It's very useful especially if you already have everything maxed out and do not want to create a new character just to complete this achievement.

Originally posted by dfg:
However, what if you already have a high level (overpowered) character, but still need the score challenges for each level? To accomplish this, follow these steps:
1. Go to the blacksmith and equip underpowered weapons (but use your best armor).
2. By now you should know that each level has discrete areas from which you can't advance until you defeat each group of enemies.
3. Thus, pick an area and kill all enemies but one, preferably one that can be juggled easily (miner, jungle beast, etc.)
4. Juggle. Use the uppercut combo and then the air combo to keep them in the air. Even after you reduce all the enemy's health, you can continue to juggle them and the x/6666 counter will continue to rise.
5. You may want to equip better weapons in later levels to speed things up.

You can continue to juggle an enemy long after it dies as shown on his video below:
https://youtu.be/L9K8k5XPTg0

The following portion of this guide is recommended for freshly made characters:

The character you use may differ from what I suggest but there is a basic pattern that I believe you should follow for the smoothest possible run while doing this. This part of the guide will assume that you have are at least able to complete every level without being overlevelled.

I personally recommend using a Ranger because of his secondary weapon. He can create a 5x combo from far away in a very short time so he is amazing at keeping combo multiplier high.

*********
First off, do the first level until you get 100 gold. After you get 100 gold, bet on the score challenge.

Clear the first 2 levels while focusing on keeping your combo multiplier as high as possible. Knowing when and where enemies spawn will go a long way. Do not juggle the enemy because it's very easy to make a mistake if you are in mid-air and get engaged from behind. Increase your combo by doing a regular 3 hit combination consecutively. This will keep increasing the multiplier while doing minimal damage.

If you refrain from using heavy attacks and keep from getting hit, you should easily get the 6666 score needed to clinch the first and hardest of the challenge levels. The only thing that can stop you from obtaining this is if you get hit too often and get your combo multiplier cut off. Take your time and group them up. Don't be afraid to mix it up and dodge roll back and forth or shoot a few arrows/projectiles in the middle.

After the first 2 levels. Everything else gets easier (in terms of getting the score challenge done).

Try not to invest too heavily on attack (if you are a Ranger) and gradually upgrade your equipment at around Level 3. Use your judgement in picking up weapons as they can drastically cut your overall score if the upgrade is too strong.

Some General Tips to follow:
  • Upgrade Gradually.
  • Always pick up the best armor.
  • Do not juggle.
  • Do not overlevel.
  • Only run a level once for the score challenge (then progress onwards).
  • The Final Boss will allow you to keep hitting him for a greater score. Take advantage of this by not killing his healing orbs.
  • Gold medals are not your priority. That's easy to do. Focus on getting the score up even if it's taking you a while.
  • Even if you fail, it's alright to retry. Just make sure not to progress until you get it done.
*********

If you listened to my advice and only did the minimum amount to get each score challenge done, you should be around level 31-32 with all SCORE challenges from Act 1-4 done. The reason why you only did SCORE challenges is because if you did the other 3 right then and there, then you'd essentially be risking playing the game 3 times over and being overlevelled for some future score challenges. This will make things a bit tougher for you as you progress. With SCORE challenges done, the rest of this achievement is essentially a grind.

The difference between the score challenge and the other 2 is that for the score challenge, being overlevelled is a handicap. For Time and Life challenges, being overlevelled/overpowered assists you in completing the challenges (without consequence).

I hope that this little snippet on the achievement was helpful!

Never back down in Rus version has crazy bug. If u leave Acts and back to Main menu all progress for that achievment ruins. I was trying to do all it in 1 day but when u did last mission with boss - game going to main menu, so there is no reason to do it all
Or only i have this bug because there is no information about it in internet
Its sad, because i did all missions with 6666 points and its all lost

Just to be absolutely clear the Never Back Down method I mentioned would involve almost exclusively attacking with the lowest tier of damage swords. I also found rolling vital to getting the achievement this way.

Regarding Never Back Down. If you happen to have a leveled Archer with maxed Dex, no Str, and only defense besides (like I did) it's possible to use the first few swords (non elemental) from the equipment exchange in the town to rack up the score needed for the challenges. This way you can quickly dispatch enemies after meeting the score requirement. Keep buying defense crystals for the score levels and attack ones for the no death and time levels. You only need to complete all the challenges for Acts 1-4 to get the achievement. You don't need to concern yourself with titles or any act 5 challenges. I was able to get the achievement this way without juggling enemies after their deaths.

The Whole Crew: is pretty easy on the Mossback level if you have 2 different leveled characters and 2 controllers. On a 360 controller you can set the second controller upside down so that right stick is held right and never have to mess with the second controller. Just move ahead with player 1 and if player 2 needs to jump somewhere the game will warp them ahead when needed.

Ironhide achievement: Fight the bosses to get the armors as listed here if you wish. For me it ended up being a lot easier to buy the last 6 armors from the vendors in towns. Every armor for sale in town after finding the first 24 was an armor i didnt have yet.

For example, I have never played as ranger, if I start to play as ranger and complete all challenges on gold medal, shall I unlock achievement? Thanks in advance!
