The revolver 2 needs shots to the chest to kill while the deagle needs 3 shots, and the revolver reload is short (only 1-2 seconds with practice) which means in a gunfight unless you can reliably hit the majority of your headshots the revolver is a better gun.
The shotguns have low armor penetration, which means that they only are effective when the enemies have low money, but they have a high kill reward which makes them good anti-save guns.
SMG's have similar low armor pen to the shotguns which means that when the enemy has armor they can be near useless. The majority of the time it is better to buy a revolver or deagle without armor to save your money until you can buy a rifle *and* armor, don't wast your time buying one without the other unless you know what you're doing.
